Pike Precision. Factory installed wing servos. Great flyer.

I picked this one up from Wayne at Aloft. It was a quick build. It weighs in at 5.75 lbs; RTF. KST servos throughout. I decided to install the v-tail servos in the tail...no pushrods in the fuse, just wires. This leaves lots of room for a ballast tube.

Ready to maiden any day now.

Looks like it may be the same as this:

It looks good in the video. Looking forward to its first flight....Continue Reading

Wizard Compact BPV 2.5m with fixed stab and ruddervators.

First flight at Tick in 20mph winds from the west. Two clicks down and two to the right. A couple of down clicks for the elevator/crow compensation and off she went. Great colors, perfect size. Fast, stable, tracks solid and slows to a crawl on landing. I suppose with some ballast it will come alive. Oh, it has the distinctive "scream " on high speed passes.

Thanks George and Greg.

After three tosses, adjustments to the elevator and the CG the RC Gull flew well. Pretty fast and rather convincing.

It is true what they say about the Jart M70s flaps. Just about stops in mid air and hovers to a soft landing. Thanks to the excellent build by Mo it needed no adjustments. Flew out of my hands and performed like a champ.

The Typhoon flew great as usual. First time I have flown it with full ballast. It's a different plane with ballast. Faster and tracks better.

First flight went off without a hitch. Two clicks of down and one right click and off she went. Tick Point maiden. Thanks Erik!

Just got this from a club member.

Looks like it was available through Hobbyclub.com Sure looks like a 2m Nan Spider. Nice quality. Ballast tube in the wing and pretty stiff skins. Carbon canopy. Full flying stab. Six servos. Green bottoms. Full crow and 90 degree flaps.

Looking forward to tossing it off a cliff.

Update.
It flew great on its first and many subsequent flights.

Chip, enjoy it!

Here are some pics of my MACCHI. All I did was trade for it. Keith did ALL the work! Fantastic build on this little jewel. Its' about 20oz and has the "scale" 24" wingspan. I have yet to fly it, but I have seen others fly and they are fast.

Here is Keith's build thread with lots of great building tips for any project:

I finally found a carbon bagged wing version of CR Aircraft's RENEGADE 60" Slope Racer. Thanks Dave!

Decided to give it a new a new coat of paint, high visibility orange tips and some vinyl stripes on the bottom and it looks brand new.

More info and Kits can be found here:

Check out the site. These great planes from the 90's are available again.

I now have a variety of planes...not JUST slopers...although any of these ought to fly just fine on a slope

Here's a couple of great flying +/- 1.5m slope gliders. A Higgins RODENT, designed and built in the 90's and a brand new Manor Models DYNAMIC 60; so new the tape is still on the control surfaces. Can't wait for it's first flight.

The RODENT has a foam core wing covered in lite plywood, hardwood leading edges, balsa tail and paint. Super simple and can be built at home. It flies great and has only three servos...no mixing. Just land it already.

The D60 has a hollow molded wing and has five servos. Flaps, ailerons and an elevator (no rudder). It can be set up to take advantage of modern radios. I have seen Steve's fly at Tick and it screams...really, it makes a cool noise while flying.

Here's a homebrew I call the AGitator. A combination of a Higgins RODENT fuse and a set of VS Sailplanes ROTOR wings. It is pitcheron controlled with a fixed v-tail. Check out my build thread here:
