Here's a short film I think many of you will enjoy! Our dear friend Tony Naccarato was the technical advisor and responsible for gathering all the Cox P-51s control line models used in the film. Tony is also shown flying a Cox P-51 in the park and our local hobby shop (Smith Brother's Hobby Center) is also featured.

Emax Baby Hawk (3 min 46 sec)

Emax Baby Hawk

A) Hardest part was installing the XM Rx
B) 2nd hardest part was binding the Rx to Tx ( I needed help for this )
C) Betaflight was easy . Activate Ch5 , select a source ( Switch )
D) I set Arming and Horizone mode to the Switch
E) At the Tx I have 60% Rates and 40% Expo which gives me really nice hover and the baby hawk is still plenty lively
F) Cheap nasty 2s battery works fine so far ( gentle flying ) , and the 450mAh is good for a little over 3 minutes . Would not want to push that .

I have not had as easy a time of it as I have with the Emax Baby Hawk . From installing the Rx to setting up Betaflight the baby Hawk has been very easy . There were no nasty surprises and no challenges . ( Well , except for binding the Rx to Tx .. - I really needed two more hands for that )

I was surprised at how easily the baby hawk handles a decent amount of breeze as well how stable it was in the breeze . With 60% rates and 40% Expo the baby hawk still has plenty of speed and control-ability .
Seriously , simply the best quad experience to date . Even using a cheap nasty battery seems ok so far , just been doing a gentle bit of flying . It's all been line of sight so far , but just colour me impressed .
Looking forward to some FPV as soon as possible ..

Glue & Fly Series - F-22 Mini V3(A) Development Status #3

Here is a link to the Video:

The Parkjet has a New Nacelle configuration to mitigate any possible airflow restriction due to the narrow design of the Original Nacelle.
I will be testing the Nacelle MOD tomorrow, weather permitting, and I think this should reduce drag and make this Parkjet even Faster ;-)
I have also installed my 3rd Landing Skid MOD in hopes this one turns out to be more durable ;-(
I envy you Pilot's that have a nice grassy area in which to land.
I had a request for a Full Flight Video of this Parkjet so that is included.
I don't want to forget to mention my Co-Pilot in Crime, e3Scott.
His Flight Testing of this Parkjet and the feedback he has provided not only on the Parkjet but also on the Build Plans has been invaluable.
With his help this Parkjet will be ready for release in half the time of me doing it alone.
Links to his Youtube Channel and Parkjet Blog are listed below and I urge you to go check them out ;-)

Directly via micro USB port - let me know if this works for Sony A6000 as it could bypass the IR trigger issues.
I have purchases a 10+5 pin mult-terminal connector and attempted to trigger the shutter release by connecting it to ground. It did NOT work. Same for AF (focus) pin. Nothing.

********************************* UPDATE: You must activate the FOCUS immediately before, or simultaneously WITH the SHUTTER. The shutter wire (to ground) will NOT work alone. This is why some user twist the focus and shutter wires TOGETHER, then use a switch or transistor to connect to GROUND to activate the focus and release the shutter to take a picture. *****************************

In my attempts, its not working. I must be missing something. Any help appreciated.

Make Camera Trigger Cable For Sony Alpha Series Cameras And Setup for Pixhawk (2 min 22 sec)

Exploring pin outs: UPDATE: its appears that a switch or transistor is needed to use this with standard servo controller. Its does NOT work with a standard servo signal. Apparently PixHawk may have some resource that is better.

Sony A6000.

Info on line regarding pin assignments varies! BEWARE! If you can verify pints for Sony A6000 let me know! Screen shots mostly from website above, its a great resource.

RE: E-Flite Carbon-Z T-28 Trojan

A video and pictures of what I did to avoid the Steering ARM Block from moving while the Nose Wheel Retraction is in motion.

This mod prevents the Steering attachment BLOCK from sliding along the Steering ARM such that it will NOT twist the Nose Wheel Assembly and hit the Foam end stops of the FUSE.

Video contains the pictures as well.

The Ripit Rev2 is moving forward ..
Next I have to do the Servos and controls + Rx and battery ..
The servos will be soldered directly to the Rx as will a battery plug
So hopefully get on with that ASAP ..

So far the build is about 35 grams , and I was trying really hard to go lite !
I would love to build something in the 30 gram neighbourhood .

Hmmm , might be hard to beat the UMX Whipit ..
Certainly the Whip could be reduced to the 30 gram neighbourhood ( me thinks )

This depron might be on the miss piggy side of materials ( foam )
Oh well , next micro DLG will be balsa wood .. I think I have some light sheets that have been aged about 2 decades or more . ( might be dry by now )

2 Days folks ( 2 Days )

Review of Eachine E016H - Mini Altitude Hold Headless Mode 8mins Flight Time 2.4G RC Drone quadcopter RTF

This quad works and flies great out of the box. Because its long flight time, self level + height hold function and full protection (bottom and upper side) of propellers its great choice for first time fliers and kids pilots

Here's my daughter first ever flight of quadcopter:

Eachine E016H - 5y kid first flight of Eachine E016H Mini Altitude Hold Headless Mode (3 min 13 sec)
