I am a 14 yr old toowoomba boy who has recently entered the rc hobby. When I first started out, I was mostly self taught on a powered glider I had, through this I learnt some of the basics of flying rc planes like not crashing, but that happened). Then after knowing a mate who (had recently started flying with a trainer, i approached the same trainer (rob Knox) who was kind enough to take me on. A few weeks on whilst flying on a buddy cable with my t-28, rob told me to land, and pass the controller to me, he then unplugged the buddy lead and gave me the master controller, telling me to take off, the look on my face must have been a mix between joy and pure terror. But after getting airborne and getting used to the different transmitter. I realised I was flying solo.
That's where I am now.
