Ryze DJI Tello with Xiaomi Mi Wifi Repeater | How to Reduce Video Lag and Frame Skipping (16 min 5 sec)

I tested the Tello with and without the range extender to see if it would, a) reduce or eliminate frame skipping in the recorded video, and b) reduce or eliminate lag in the live video feed. Despite the results of this test, I still think it's time to do away with weak wifi fpv. If not 5.8ghz, there has to be some way to innovate a more reliable use of wifi such as what DJI does.

Flitt Flying Camera Selfie Drone Review (15 min 7 sec)

Xiaomi Mi Wifi 2 Repeater Range Extender | Full Setup Tutorial for the Ryze DJI Tello (15 min 48 sec)

Setup is not very intuitive, so I made this video to help walkthrough how to setup the Xiaomi Mi range extender.

Eachine E32HW Review | What do you think it looks like? (16 min 47 sec)

It comes with the usual features that we commonly see with budget wifi fpv drones. Altitude hold, 2MP camera and this one takes a micro SD card for smoother video footage. It looks just like the Bugs 5W to me.

MJX Bugs 5W (B5W) Review | Unboxing and Setup | Part 1 (10 min 19 sec)

It has a 1080p 90-degree tiltable camera right from the controller, follow me and orbit modes, and waypoints. It is a nice step up from the Bugs 2W. Since there is so much to cover, I broke the review up into 3 videos. Check out all 3 for a thorough assessment of this drone.

Part II: Flight test, video and photos, and waypoints
Part III: Range test

PROS:
-Very quiet
-Stable even in windy conditions
-All automated features work very well
-Camera panning is very smooth and I didn't notice any jello in the video footage
-Takes nice photos
-Easy to setup and get in the air

CONS:
-Relatively short flight time; I have been getting about 11-12 minutes. You will definitely need at least 1 more battery
-Once waypoints have been engaged, you can only stop the drone via the app. No controller input will disengage them.
-Video frame rate fluctuates between 23-24 fps. This is ok, but it could lead to some video stutter....Continue Reading

DJI Phantom 4 and Parrot Bebop 2 Video Comparison (4 min 58 sec)

The Phantom 4 and Bebop 2 are the best drones I own and are great for different reasons. This is not so much a Phantom 4 vs Bebop 2 video as much as a comparison of the two after a day out flying them both in the same location under the same conditions. I bought the Phantom 4 refurbished and I am very pleased with it and the Bebop 2 continues to hold its own.

Xiaomi MITU Drone Review | Unboxing Setup Flight Test and Camera Footage (27 min 34 sec)

The Xiaomi MITU is pretty good competitor to the Ryze DJI Tello and priced at $20 less.

PROS:
-Ultrasonic stabilization works great. The quad maintains its position when hovering without minimal to no movement
-Solid altitude hold
-Smooth video output despite not having a micro SD card slot
-$20 less than the Ryze DJI Tello
-Flies surprisingly well and easily via the virtual sticks; sticks appear wherever you place your thumbs on the screen.
-4GB of internal storage for photos and video

CONS:
-Camera quality is not terrible, but just meh
-No image stabilization
-Flight time is more like 8-minutes vs. the advertised 10-minutes

👀Please note that the MITU uses a 5.8ghz WiFi signal, so you must have a smartphone that accommodates 5.8ghz in order to fly this drone....Continue Reading

King Kong ET115 Fish Story | Rescued by my Phantom 4 (6 min 31 sec)

I almost lost my King Kong LDARC ET115 while flying FPV in a new spot the other day. Good thing I had my Phantom 4 with me.

Ryze DJI Tello Firmware Updates and Camera Test | How I Use My Tello | Part 4 (6 min 11 sec)

The Tello is the best selfie drone in my opinion after using it for several weeks. You can zip it around if you want, but it really shines when you want to take pictures with family and friends, or pictures of whatever really. Not just for indoor use either. The 5MP camera produces sharp detailed photos while the vision positioning system keeps the Tello locked into one position. Changes made in the firmware updates are largely unnoticed by the user IMHO, but I did notice that the video drops fewer frames than it did when I first started flying it.

This thing looks awesome and has power for days. Black is beautiful . I was a bit nervous to put this one in the air the first time, because I had so much trouble with the Furibee X140. Out of the box it just wanted to flip to its death; I was able to fix it though (well sort of). But...the Darkmax flies great right out of the box. This sucker has tons of power (I know everyone says that about everything, but I really mean it) and I started to think, "Is there a such thing as too much power?" I was only flying on a 4S battery and this thing accommodates up to 6S....that is nuts. Full throttle and this thing disappears into the sky. I have tested 4 Furibee drones thus far and I'm 2 of 4 now with having good success with them. The X215 Pro is great, but it did require some TLC. The Fire Dancer had a bad motor shaft and I already mentioned the X140. The ones that are good are really good though.

Eachine QX65 Review | Inspect, Binding, Betaflight Setup and Flight Test | Project Mockingbird Tip (29 min 45 sec)

I have flown Eachine's E010 and E013, but I consider the QX65 as their first proper tiny whoop. In this review I take you through inspection, show you how to bind to your transmitter, setup in betaflight and show you how it flies. Also, check below for a link to a tutorial on how to setup the QX65 with Project Mockingbird PIDS and settings.

Since the video is on the long side, here's a legend so you can go right to the information you're looking for:

MJX Bugs 3 MINI Drone Review | One of the Best No Frills Flyers | Repair Tip (19 min 52 sec)

MJX has released several awesome drones with brushless motors and you might as well add the Bugs 3 Mini to that growing list. I had a bad crash back in December while trying acro, so I had to repair one of the arms. I share how I fixed it in this video.

Are Refurbished DJI Drones Worth it? | Refurbished DJI Phantom 4 (8 min 24 sec)

I looked really hard for blemishes and obvious signs of use. The questions I had prior to buying a refurbished Phantom 4 included: What kind of warranty do you get? What happens if something is wrong with it when I get it? I try to answer some of those questions with this video.

Mfi Bluetooth Controller for the Ryze Tech Tello Drone | Madcatz C.T.R.L.i Review | Part 3 (13 min 40 sec)

This bluetooth controller works specifically with Apple devices, but there are several others available for Android users. Ryze recommends Gamesir and Gamevice controllers for Android users. There are also Gamesir and Gamevice controllers compatible with Apple devices, but they run $80 or more. This glossy blue MadCatz controller was $29.99 out on Amazon.
