I was just looking at some videos I took at the end of September of a B-17 at the local airport and as a result I am going to look into getting an RC version of one of these beauties!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a great value?

Even though the cowls are terribly fragile on these planes, I find myself growing more and more attached to this chubby Grumman. Enjoy the flight at sunset as I dive bomb the cameraman

This was fun even though the crosswind didn't help with the landing.

Parkzone P-51 Ultra Micro tearing up the skies over Lynden. (2 min 55 sec)

Edit:

So I offically got in one more flight after this and my P-51 is dead. The engine that is. Everything works but that. I am very happy I got this on video. I have no idea how to change out the motor, but hopefully it isn't too much of a chore.

So I finally got some footage of me flying my T-28. Enjoy it, but don't feel like you have to watch the end. In fact, my ego prefers that lol

I truly love how nicely this plane flies and if you have not flown one, I highly recommend it.

So I had quite the adventure today. Even though common sense would say not to try to take the Champ up 1,000 feet plus on a windy day, I did it anyway.

I took off into the wind and circled to gain elevation. I had it pretty close to full throttle fighting the wind and trying to get up there quickly while my buddy's Bixlar had enough battery to get up there and confirm. It was way too high and too small for the range finder, which is why we need him to confirm.

I took it up and 500 feet was confirmed, then 650, then 800, then 900, then I am not sure exactly what height you are, but it is closer to 1,100 than it is 1,000. All the while it was drifting away from me and got to the point there I couldn't see which direction I was heading to bring it back.

I ending up using some down elevator to get it close to me as quickly as I could in an attempt to make it so I could get it back. At one point I was thinking that the speck (my Champ) was going to disappear and be lost forever. Luckily, the going lower fast plan worked out and I was able to fly it back, do a victory loop with what was left of the battery and land it as I hit LVC.

The guys I fly with aren't typically impressed with micro planes at all, but they were pretty thrilled about that accomplishment that I had with the Champ/DX6i combo.

There may also be some video of it soaring above the Bixler, but it might be a bit before that footage can be verified. My friend's computer has been having a lot of issues lately and is on the DL.

I was lucky enough to witness some amazing flying with some nice birds today. My buddies in their Bixler's were flying FPV while the Corsair pilot was operating normally.

This is the flight without the canopy right after that crash with no repairs! When it landed, I noticed the front was bent up. I may get some flights in today depending on how the Seahawks game goes:

I flew this way to show my buddy what one of these things can do at a less advanced skill level. Lots of fun and not that hard once you know how to fly a trainer.

Each flight made it easier and easier to fly this little thing. I normally post my better flying, but this isn't that kind of quality lol
