This Video represents the the next couple of flights, post maiden. Just working out the landings, with flaps, and T/Os. This Parkzone P-47 sure is one elegant aircraft and has a great airborne presence.
Also, noteworthy, is spydermann presence. This is his introduction to RCAir. and he has since "soloed" and been hooked. The next video just might be of him and his particular flying (crashing) style.

AT-6 Texan by Art-Tech w/ Sound Module (3 min 1 sec)

The yellow AT-6 Texan by Art-Tech is one "sweet flyer" so far. This (ARF) comes with split flaps, lights, sound module, and retracts. This is the first plane, that I can remember, that has required no trim adjustment at all. Very nice predictable scale flights, and a great looker!
The sound module does work and should be a sign of "sounds" to come. For me it really added to the overall flight experience.

ParkZone Albatros D.Va Maiden (2 min 27 sec)

Easy to fly, just a tad different feel with that rudder... Also at the suggested CG, she did seem nose heavy... took half of my "up" trim to stay level at 3/4 throttle, out of the box. Also, the motor/aircraft sounds quite different. Takes some getting used to. For me, the landings to complete stops, were beyond my skill set.... I need to deal with that, to really feel the love. Score: 5 "Full Stops" ready to go again's... vs: 22 on the chins, or worse, and counting.... on the plus side, No damage through all that abuse!

Received my PZ Albatros and I'm pleasantly surprised at what I found. Looks like a new and improved direction for Parkzone. Fit and Finish looks outstanding. Also looks like a major motor mount improvement...

VTOL-3D NoobTube ScratchBuilt FoamBoard Flyer (5 min 0 sec)

The Story behind this flight!
As some of you already know, I've been actively following and building EA aircraft. EA is Experimental Airlines and is Ed's site. He has produce a whole slew of foamboard design videos that cover the entire build process along with some of his very innovative concepts. Their just a blast to build and fly...foamboard with a true airfoil wing! Anyhow, around 3 weeks ago, Ed introduced a new build contest, with one of his suppliers providing the winning gift. Tape Brothers.com is that gracious sponsor. I believe that they're in Florida. Anyhow, that's where I got my tape from. And their colored packing tape is a big part of these builds... So the contest is to build a new plane, using Ed's modular design pieces, video it flying and post it. The VTOL-3D is my version of his basic build "NoobTube" and contest entry. As you see in the video, it does fly, and I managed a VTO (Vertical Take-Off) barely. Still working on that part and a vertical Landing. We hand-launched on the above maiden into calm winds. (the lull, before the cold front came busting through) Midway through the flight, winds reversed directions and picked up to a measured 20+ MPH... Rest of the flight was consumed by loud cursing ( I believe Spydermann was laughing) and the urgency to get grounded in one piece. Success... Just a simple, quick and clean concept that allows me to Check Balance's, basically anywhere, any time.... and generally "one handed". On all my airframes I install a "balancing lug" or hard-point at the CG midrange. My hardpoints are just small eye-screws that I GGlue in. I then hang the airframe a few inches above my workspace as I finalize component placement. Also, by forming a hook out of some stiff wire I can generally hold the model one handed and check Balances in the field. The advantage here is that I'm able to ck Balance in all dimensions at once....both Forward and Aft, and Left and Right.... one handed. You can attach your hardpoint where ever you need, top or bottom, even on some battery hatches... whenever I find that the hatch won't hold the weight I'll generally attach to the opposite side or re-enforce the hatch...
What this gives you in the long run is a very consistent balancing reference point!

TyeDyeDoo - Noobe Tube ..... Moments (3 min 21 sec)

FuglyJet Maiden Good, Engine problem bad. (1 min 28 sec)

Very short maiden of the FuglyJet. The design is courtesy of Experimetal Airlines and is a great looking, easy, foamboard build. This is my 1st EDF and I have an engine problem on this fight and I'm looking for help on that issue. The spec are as follows:
Mtr: Hobby Lobby ERCD261050 KV5000 40A Max 3cell
Fan Unit: HL 1860311 64mm DF
ESC: Electrifly SS-45 40/50Amp 500W Max 2-4cell lipo 12-Timing
Batt: HeadsUpRC EZ Flight 2600mah, 35/70c 3cell with 30cycles

The 4 beeps you hear will be this esc normal confirmation of arming. Being my 1st EDF I did briefly bench test and saw 46Amps.
Was concerned so I call HL and their reply was " Stop bench testing, it should unload to 35Amps or so as you fly" So, just wondering if anyone can relate.....btw, the motor was really warm to touch, but spun freely, battery warm & the ESC cool...

E-Flight "Beast 3D" Maiden (1 min 48 sec)

Sweet little bird with AS3X... No trimming out of the box. Winds at 12 to 14, gusting to 17... Not a problem, handled gracefully.... Fun taking-off of its retail box....

TyeDyeDoo ....... Do Fly Maiden 03-11-2012 (3 min 26 sec)

First off, my sincere thanks to Ed over at Experimental Airlines for all his efforts and instructional videos and design work. This is my first "scratch build" and the impetus behind this is Ed's "Noob Tube".... Ok, you see where this is going.... "Noob Tube" to "Scoobie Doo" going to "Noobe Doo" .....going to "TyeDye Doo" back to " My TyeDyeDoo" ending up at "MyTyeDyeDoo.... Do Fly...!!!" Anyhow... maiden flight was great yesterday; winds at 12 to 14, gusting to 17. Being just a 2 year rookie I normally would not venture airborne in those winds...but flying a scratch built that cost $2.00 in "Dollar Tree" foam board, plus electronics I had laying around...boy, just opened the door to more flying opportunities.... Flew great, handled the wind no problem, plenty of power and great flight time. Plus the tremendous sense of satisfaction you get from flying your 1st scratch built. Just a win win.!
Build details..Basic Noob tube design but incorporating the larger "Armin Wing" at 9.75". looking at "slower" slow flight here.
An Emax GT2215/12 905kv pulling 198W at 17Amps Static w/APC 11x4.7sf prop
Turnigy 30Amp Plush ESC.
Alum bar stock mtr mount detailed in Ed's Videos.
Orange 6chl RX and 4 HXT900's.
Also, I couldn't wait for my order of "colored packing tape" to get here, so I used clear and then painted... end result: tie dye....
Also, This was the 1st "noggin cam" so I lost quite a bit of footage, but hope
fully you can get an idea as to how nice this airframe flies... Thks Ed.
