Two things I could not care less about and don't quite "get" their appeal.
EDF anything

I am now the proud owner and happy flier of a GWS Formosa. Why did I wait so long to buy this wonderfully flying aircraft???

That I'm starting to get bored flying my beloved Simple Stick may be a sign that it's time for me to move up to a more "capable", maneuverable craft. The Formosa will probably be my first choice as it is cheap and durable.
Still windy here though I got some wonderful flying in last night.

Nosed in my Simple Stick last night. Last thing I saw before the crash was a flash of light reflected off the lipo that had just fallen out of the hatch. No way to save a plane that's just lost a battery.
Damage: Bent motor shaft, broken prop and some foam in need of gluing. Could be worse.

It's windy every single day! Constant 15 mph with gusts of 25 for the last two weeks.
A couple years back when I was really into kites it was never windy enough. Now it's too damn windy. My thumbs are getting rusty. No, I will not buy a sim!

Just finished the Hobby People wasp. So ugly it's cool! Would like to use it as an aerial video platform.
BM2410-12 motor (triangle)
GWS 9x5 HD Prop
Dynam 18A ESC
GWS Nano Rx
3S Lipo packs
Should produce 25 ounces of thrust.

Peter Rake's Slingshot
This is a much easier build than the Eugly Stick and will be my first mid-wing plane. I'm taking votes on what color she should be.

The Eugly stick is ready to go as soon as I get a lipo charger and a programming card for the Dynam ESC. Then I just need a calm day and Matt to maiden it.
I think I may have been ripped off on the charger. Ordered it two weeks ago from a online vendor name "O'Brien's Hobby." I was charged but have yet to receive anything.
Avoid this vendor at all costs. Numerous people have had the same experience as me.
The programming card is back ordered at Grayson. I'm not sure what the cutoff voltage is on this ESC and don't want to take the chance of ruining a perfectly good lipo.
The Eugly stick weighs in fully loaded at 12 ounces. The motor/battery combo should produce 14 ounces of thrust and 76 mph of speed. Scary power for me!
Over and out!

I'm seriously unhappy with the gap I ended up with on the elevator. Not sure how I can fix it as there really is no way to remove the pushrod from the control horn without breaking it.
Oh well.

Pat's Custom Models Eugly Stick short kit build. Eight ounces + battery. Going to run it with 3s lipo. Should be a screamer.

Met Matk0 for some nice flying Friday afternoon. A wonderful, relaxing way to end the week.
On the way home the car broke down. I grabbed my gear box (I hated the idea of it being stolen when my car was broken in to) and started walking. Oh yeah, my phone was dead too. Two miles, one bus ride and one and a half hours later I arrived home.
Now I need to cough up $300 for a new timing chain. The good news is that it's been too windy here to fly anyway.
Looking to buy another plane.

Picture time!!! Went out today but things were kinda weird. The stick just didn't handle like it normally does. I'm hoping it's because of my covering the aileron gaps.

Purchased a Light Flight 6 channel dual conversion rx. Partly because I was getting glitches with my GWS pico rx but mostly because I now have a 6 channel radio and want to take advantage of flaperons and adjustable aileron differential.
Wind is supposed to slacken a bit tomorrow. Hopefully I can get out.
