Yeah ! I graded this a PITA ( Pain In The Abacus )
Well , I am now upgrading the rating to Pain In The Asp !

I did go out to maiden !
And my CG was too far back , but I had no other batteries that would fit .
Also , I did mention the lack of thrust from the factory prop . 0ooooh Yeah Baby ! ( What thrust ? )

So I came home and cut the factory prop off .
Fit a bullet prop adaptor and cut a 5x3 down to 4x3 as the 5x3 was loading the motor too much .

Problems !
I read a few comments where people talk about the motor coming lose .. Yeah , I had that .
Half a flight and the motor mounts came lose .
Tightened them and then gave the screws / mount a dose of cyno . ( Cyno for model airplanes is like Penicillin for humans )

I also went thru my battery collection and found a larger heavier battery that just fits .. ( Just )
It does no effect the CG that much ! Really need a battery that can be pushed further forward in the FUSE ! ( If any one from HK reads this )
Ps / Why bring a model to market ? When no battery fits .

Anyways , now the motor is making some sort of grinding noise around mid throttle .
Seriously , for me the Ezio 800 has just been a box full of problems .. Problems that just wont go away .

So next time I go out , .....
1) Heavier battery
2) A prop that produces thrust
3) I may have to go to 100% Expo for the elevator

So after some recent discussion with some folks I thought it was a good opportunity to show the damage my FT Simple Cub has taken from some crashes. Felt it was a good true testament to how durable these foamboard/Flitetest really are. So here you can see all the damage that has occurred to the FT Simple Cub.

New motor has been installed and the power pod has been rebuilt. All that is left is reinstall the receiver, double check my balance and battery placement, and she'll be ready to go again.

How durable are Flitetest/foamboard airplanes? A look at the FT Simple Cub's crash damage (8 min 27 sec)

This will be a written review but I also make video reviews and I included that here if you would like to watch rather than read plus I probably ramble about how it compares to other stuff too so might be interesting.
Also I make the flight videos seperate to the review video so that it's easier for you to find the parts you want to see.
I add pictures at the end of the review.
I'll be adding to this discussion if I later find anything of note like better props or if something breaks...
Please ask any questions and I'll try my best to answer them.

The uruav 85 basic version reviewed here by there is also a hd version with caddx turtle V2 1080 60fps recording for more money and more weight and the picture on the live feed is worse on that so if like me you just enjoy flying rather than filming get the basic version as it will give you a better experience.
Bought from banggood here https://bit.ly/2FybNRL ( affiliate link at no extra cost to you but helps me fund future reviews so please use this link even if you buy sometimes by else I still get a little bit of a % of anything you buy on that visit )
First up a couple of flight videos on supplied 3s 300mah and 2s 300 turnigy nano techs so you can see if it's fast enough for you.
Quite fast and good flight times of 4 minutes maybe more on 300mah.

Uruav85 3s lipo none hd version park flying freestyle (4 min 17 sec)
Uruav85 on 2s 300mah lipo at the park freestyle cruising. (4 min 11 sec)

I miss my FMS PC -21 that crashed last year, just as I was starting to fly fixed-wing FPV. So I set another one up with head-tracking FPV and it really flies and lands well. It’s much easier to ground handle compared with my Spitfire. Here’s a short aerobatic video with landing. Enjoy!

HobbyKing Firstar BNF (5 min 31 sec)

Oh dear ! , the Sun Glare was really bad and it really F'ed with my depth perception !
The tree I hit was literally invisible to me because of the glare ( I don't deal well with glare )

( I swear officer ! The tree came out of no where and hit my plane )

A) The Firstar has plenty of power to ROG ( Rise off ground )
B) My CG is a little rearward
C) First part of the video I am trying to trim for power . It took all the down trim the pot had to offer .
D) The Firstar flies really well , shame about the low sun . Made things harder than they needed to be .
E) Yes , the Firstar could be a very nice first model ( Currently on Sale @ HobbyKing )
F) My CG is just behind the spar , Ail 100% + 20% Expo / Elevator 100% + 60% Expo
G) Battery is a Nanotech 460 2s ( Fits in the fuse real nice )
H) Yes , I hit a tree . The damage was a small dint on the wings LE and a few minor scratches on the wing surface .
I) The sun made things a PITA , but I still had fun .. And thats what it's about .

After a whole lot of assembly, detailing and waiting for the new ESCs, the new/old FlyFly Duke B60 lives!

Like the original, it took nearly a half a pound of lead up in the nose to balance it out. The factory recommendation would have made for a horribly nose heavy model. Not surprising; that was one of the worst manuals I've ever encountered and I mentioned that in the review of the original model. For the record, it balances just fine a few millimeters in front of the wing spar.

To recap, the one you see in the photos was the original review kit less the electronics and the prototypical pull-pull retractable nose wheel. An ESC failure wadded in that original, so out came this version after languishing for five years.

What the photo also shows is the very first decal set for this model by the one and only Callie Graphics. I sent the original sheet to Callie Soden and she was able to create a color-corrected custom set which included separate drop shadows for the tail number and a far more accurate Colombian flag on the vertical stab.

The new ESCs are fresh new E-Flite 50-amp units with the BEC disabled on one of them. On the original, both BECs were active on a single channel which may have led to the failure of one of them at the PC board. Propellers are from Master Airscrew and the remainder of the electronics are off of the original model. I'd stolen the main retracts some time ago for another model. I installed E-flite LED nav lights which,...Continue Reading

Still cruising the 300X. I really enjoy relaxed flying and this one scratches the itch. Truth is, I've gotten back into an old sport, one that I first participated in at the tender age of 10. My wife and I both enjoyed it when we first started dating, but it got quite expensive so we gradually dropped it. No serious competition in the future, just relaxed involvement. We've found ways to keep costs down and are members at a club which also helps diffuse costs. Not giving up on helis, just not so crazy anymore. Did an inventory of parts on hand for what I have so it looks like spares are in good shape. Here's the rub. The helis I have are now all obsolete. Granted, the 300X is long in the tooth, but it flys just fine. Parts are getting hard to find which means prices are reflective, i.e. going up. Same for the 450X and 200SRX. While those parts that are used in a current model are available, many are not. I'll continue to enjoy what I have, for as long as I can. When parts become an issue, that'll be the end of it. I don't see myself buying a new heli, but ya never know.
