I finally pulled the trigger and bought a house. The list of things to do is long, and I have a new job also, so there's pretty much zero time for anything related to this great hobby so I am taking a break for a while, probably a few months. Once things have settled down a bit I am hoping I can make one of the Visalia Aerotow events in the summer or drive down to Torrey Pines. To all the great guys in the scale soaring scene, fly safe, stay out of the trees and enjoy the good times!

It sounds like a story from Iraq or some other country ruled by a tyrant. A mayor of a city with a population of almost 3 million decides he doesn't like one of the city's airports that was paid for by tax payer money. One early morning he decides to bulldoze the runway so that after the entire airport is closed, he can declare that land a public park that he names after his wife.
Can you believe it happened right here in the US? It did, and it is beyond me how this person is still a free man. Mayor Daley is a Terrorist and belongs to jail.
