Hey guys,

Been awhile since I posted any blogs!

Life has been going pretty good lately, even with Covid. I was fortunate enough to be able to continue to work throughout the pandemic. I am a PWC (aka jet skis) mechanic at a private owned shop in South Carolina near Lake Hartwell. We have been crazy busy this summer/fall! Due to the virus lots of people are out on the lake, so we are getting a lot of business since more boating = more breaking jet skis

I bought myself a jet ski as well, a 2008 Sea Doo RXT-X 255. My family has a couple of jet skis, but none of them are actually mine. So I am free to modify this one however I see fit with 255 horsepower stock, it's fast...GPSed at 72mph with a full tank of gas. I should be mid to upper 70s when done with mods. My goal is to make it scary fast!

Somehow I managed to get a girlfriend during the pandemic...been single all my life (I'm 24 years old by the way) and during a pandemic of all times I find a girl. We met on a dating app in April and been together since. Crazy how stuff happens sometimes!

Due to all that I haven't had a ton of time for RC. A lot of my previous blogs talked about my RC Garage; a LOT of that has been sold now! But I have bought some new stuff and will update all that soon hopefully.

If you got this far then thanks for reading! Leave a comment and say what you've been up to during the pandemic, RC related or not!

Finally had a chance to make a list of my boats I currently have, in no particular order, saying where I bought them from and any interesting things about them (all boats are brushless unless otherwise noted) I'm sure I will be buying more, so I will update the list when I do!:

Atomik Barbwire 17”: first brushless boat I ever got. Bought from AtomikRC at the end of the summer after saving up money from washing cars, yardwork, etc. Now a “shelf queen”, is it has been run countless times and the last few times I ran it there were some issues, and it almost sank. I’d be so sad to lose it so just a shelf queen now.

Traxxas Spartan: my favorite boat I have. Bought off an RCG member. Just throw it in the lake and rip. People love watching it the best out of all my boats…the screaming motor and rooster tail put on a good show! I added the RCBoatBitz parts and run 4s for long run times behind the 1:1 family boat. My most dependable and favorite boat.

TFL Genesis catamaran: I wasn’t in the market for a big catamaran, but when HobbyKing was doing a blowout sale I had to get one. I run the stock motor and a FlyColor 150amp esc on 4s, and it is a great handling boat. Probably going to swap out the motor this spring and run 6s and try and get it dialed in for some speed runs. (4s you can cruise around with zero heat issues)

Atomik Barbwire XL: best handling boat I have. Really fun to drive, self-rights, and is fast for its size. I got this boat...Continue Reading

Hi everyone, thought I'd make a few blog entries to show my current RC collection: one for land vehicles 1/10 and larger, one for land vehicles smaller than 1/10, one for boats, and one for flying RCs.

Feel free to comment or ask questions!

First up is LAND VEHICLES: Company name, vehicle model, where I bought it from, and anything interesting about it. Trying to do most recent to oldest, but may get slightly out of order

Thunder Tiger MT4 G3: Purchased from a member here on RCG. 4x4 4s 1/8 truck...it is huge and powerful. With the rainy weather I've had lately I haven't been able to run it, but the tire marks in the basement attest to the power edit* I finally had some nice weather to take the truck out. It certainly performed as I expected! Wheelies everywhere, flew through the air very well, and took some rather large crashes like a champ. If you have an opportunity to buy one I highly recommend it! New favorite truck.

HPI Bullet Flux ST: Traded with a member here on RCG for it. 1/10 scale 3s capable 4x4 stadium truck. On the smaller for side for 1/10, but very fast and tough. It jumps very well!

ECX Ruckus: purchased from a member here on RCG. 1/10 2wd brushed monster truck. Currently have it set up for running on sand at the lake house. Haven't been able to test it on sand yet, but should be fun.

ExceedRC Maxstone: 1/5 (yes, 1/5 scale!) rock crawler. Purchased used on eBay. 4x4, MOA (motor on axle, so 2 brushed motors), runs on a 2s lipo and...Continue Reading
