Bought this solely because of a pic a friend sent me of the cockpit. I just about dropped my teeth when I saw the exquisite detail on the dashboard alone. Nobody uses real screws on the instrument dials. This maker did. So I bought it for $250.00 on sale at HK. It has the most useless build manual I’ve ever seen. Luckily there was a guy on YT that made a video out of still pics he took as he built.
Soo, it took me 6 weeks to build this. Now that Ive figured it out, I could do it in a week. Sad things is, that as of this writing, its no longer in stock, nor are there any parts.
It is without question, the most solid plane I’ve ever seen. More plywood than balsa, so it’s heavy.
I scoffed at the makers suggestion for their recommended power plant, and opted instead for a more robust system. This thing turns heads wherever it goes.
Power 60
85a Aerostar esc
Graphene 6s 4k 75c
15x8 apc
AUW 7.25 lbs
I do not recommend this for anyone but a VERY experienced builder and pilot. One slip and yer toast. Her landing gear is the weakest point. The metal should’ve been bigger & stronger for such a heavy plane. Anything but a butterfly landing is gonna bend the gear. I’ve upgraded the springs but still don’t think it’s enough.
All in all, I would recommend to an experienced friend, and I would buy it again.
Rather long but cool vid of my 3rd outing. With no headwind, she comes in HOT!

This awesome fuselage paint job was done by the original builder of this aircraft, Sergey.
At his suggestion , I replaced the entire power plant. I painted the nacelles and tail & winglets.
Drew in the doors which wasn’t easy because there were no panel lines to go by, due to Sergey’s excellent body work.
I also added more robust mains, and cut in flaps.
Her power plant is presently:
2x Freewing factory balances 2850kv motors, 65a mantis esc’s, 12bladed fans (at least for now). 2 Admiral 4s 400mah 40c
AUW 8lbs.

Due to the added weight (5.5AUW)of custom painted livery, lights, and retractable gear, my E-flite B-777 Super air liner was just too fast. My servoless retracts, while very scale, moved too slow for me to see it completely cycle before it was out of sight, and unless I had a straight on headwind, landings could be real hot.So after a lot of thought, and some great assistance from fellow RCG members, I finally devised a nicely "functioning" set of flaps. I can now cruise around at just below 1/2 throttle, whereas before, 3/4 was the minimum.
What a difference. Now I gotta work on me landings
Many thanks to ALA722 for his fantastic help and support.
