Just a few shots...

------------------
From post number 7
------------------
I had just finished a build, and wanted to make sure the engine I was using would start. It was a DLE 30 that had been ran a few times a couple years ago, and had been on the shelf since.

I had it tied to a fence poll, and after messing with it for a while, it finally started and jumped at me. I must have pushed it back while working on it.

I dont really recall what happened, but I think I put my hands up when it jumped, and it caught my hand.

I noticed the index fingure right off, and went to get my wife for help, it wasn't until i looked again that I realized the thumb had lost its end.

Be careful everyone!!! I always try to be extra careful, but it only takes an instant to turn the tables. Its not always how you do something thats the risk. For me, my "knee jerk" reaction to the plane lunging at me is where I got caught. I had no control, it was purely reaction. If I hadn't put my hands up, i would have been fine.

Hey Gang,

A lot of people ask to see how I've mounted the Neu motors, and for the videos on the 1527 on the Slick, so I've decided to post them all here to make it easier...

The 1527 is mounted with a standard Neu HD mount from Esprit models. The front plate has been cut down to fit inside the cowl of the 89" Slick.

The 1521 is in a custom mount. I did not make this mount, so the specifics are a little unclear.. what I do know is its made from machined alloy end plugs, JB Welded into a carbon tube for legs. The front plate is several layers of phenolic that have been laminated together. Very light and strong!

Both of these were ran on 12S 5000 mah packs.

If you have questions, please feel free to ask!!
