I started flying FPV way back in 2002. In those days there was no true FPV gear and you basically had to repurpose video transmitters and cameras meant for CCTV and security systems. Most of us were flying 72mhz or a few were flying systems on the ham channels. Most, if not all fpv gear was on 2.4ghz.
Here is a photo from the local paper around the year 2002. It shows a Sig Seniorita style plane with a 2.4ghz video system. And a video from around that same time with another plane. It was recorded via a portable TV with VCR and rendered to digital format by a friend so I could post it.

I finally got up the nerve and took the time to convert my RC Logger EOX to the polycarbonate frame by PFG. It was kind of a pain stripping everything out of the stock frame but the end result was totally worth it.
It's a lot smoother now and the motors aren't all tilted at weird angles. The new frame is a much cleaner design too. I'm still using stock props though. I've tried all the known props and the stock ones just seem to be the most trouble free as far as wobble goes. I've tried 6045's, 6040 bull nose, 5030 GF and the stock props just work better.
Anyways, here she is in all her glory.

I got this fix from a video on Stone Blue Airlines. I used a leather punch and added two holes to the bottom of each eye cup. This has worked great for me and I have used my Skyzones in all conditions with no more fogging and it doesn't affect my ability to see the screen clearly at all

Lately the FPV bug has bitten me and after experimenting with a Blade 350QX and a 450 size DeadCat, I've stumbled upon the world of micro fpv with a Blade Nano QX. I LOVE this little bird
But now I'm setting my sights on bigger stuff for more outdoor flying that won't break the bank but still affords lots of fun.
Here are some videos from my Blade Nano FPV
