Hmmm , I have amassed a decent pocket knife collection over quite a few decades .
And the one thing and possibly the only thing that really impresses the heck out of me is blade steel ( How good it is - or not )

We had a pile of cardboard , and it was time to carve it up into small pieces that would not overly fill the rubbish bin .
This was a job for - no not superman ! , but rather a decent pocket knife .
All the boxes were about the same size ( hobby king )

1) Spyderco ? This one came from China .. It was the sharpest tool in the shed , and also the fastest tool to lose it's edge . ( Hey that rhymed ) Unfortunately I would rate it about half a box . It started out so well , but very quickly just lost that edge .
2) Ontario Rat ? Again from China .. Shaving sharp to begin with but started tearing about half a box in . I would rate it one box .
3) Enlan EL-08 , shaving sharp to start , another one box knife .
4) Y-Start D2 , from China . Shaving sharp to start . Carved up the first box like a hot knife thru butter . On that second box it started to lose the edge . I would rate this knife 2 boxes .
5) Enlan EL-06 , China . Not as sharp or easy to sharpen as the other knives . Again went thru the first box easily but lost its edge on the 2nd box . I would rate this knife 2 boxes .
6) Remington R3 ( ?? ) Not a genuine R3 , I don't know where this was made , but sourced from a USA seller over 10 years ago . If it is Remington then it's one of the budget Remingtons . ( Could be a Chinese Made R3 ? ) Anyhow ...
It just kept on cutting .. After 2 boxes it could still ( just ) take hair off my arm .

Seriously ! A budget , unknown origin R3 beats out a bunch of more modern knives , some of which claim decent steel .
The shame off it .

AGFrc released one brand new and nice waterproof servo named A77CHLW, it can not only water resistant, but also can work under water up to 1 meter. Full metal case for heat dissipation. This is the standard size servo with magnetic sensor inside, so it allows the servo turn to any angle and stop. The torque also very fantastic, it support to work up to 8.4V, and stall torque up to

It is really powerful for off-road, buggy, truck, crawler, cars, boat, aircraft, helicopter etc. With this servo, you may not care about the creek and muddy road while driving your car.

It is worth mentioning that the price is very attractive, it is only US$44.99/pc for the retail. I still cannot believe that the boss tell me this price. If you are considering which servo for your model, try this, it won't let you down.

Details pls see the website:

While installing a CR Blade in my Flitz-2 last year, I shot photos of the process and put together a suggested process in pdf format.
The process should work for most wings unless there is a hard point molded in. In the case of my BAMF wings, I template routed a recess in the underside of the wing, epoxied the blade in and when cured, laminated 2 layers of Carboweave slightly larger than the width of the blade tongue.

Wouldn't you know it.

After ordering a new thrust washer, I found the old one! No matter. I now have a spare!

I remember how much fun this little model used to be back in the day. Faster than heck yet wonderfully controllable. It tracks straight on takeoff and is as easy to land as a trainer. I never bothered setting the high rates - something I'll do soon - but even on low rates, this Great Planes Spitfire 25 sport/combat plane was every bit as much fun to fly as I remember.

It blew a lot of rust colored oil out of the muffler of the O.S. .25 Max when I started it at the field, but that quickly stopped. After its first start-up in several years a weekend or two ago, the crank bearings sounded noisy, but they're fine now. The bearings were, in my opinion, almost certainly the source of that small amount of rust.

Once airborne, the Spitfire sounded a bit too rich in flight, but no matter. Blasting laps around the pattern was simply, well, a blast! I only flew one flight this morning; it was a kind of "shakedown" to see how it would do. I was also down to about a pint of fuel with two more models waiting for completion and flight testing.

Sadly, the canopy managed to get broken! There are lots of parts still available for this discontinued model and a canopy is among them. On its way next week. Maybe I can track down a small pilot bust by then.

My Sportsman is paired with a Spektrum DX6. Flying off grass, so I removed the gear, now I have a Cessna 210. Great looking in the air.
--EXCEPT: GPS has been an ongoing issue for a long time. Lucky to get the plane down several times. It flew off with wings wobbling twice.

I have been told that I can unplug the GPS but Horizon Hobbie says NO. Has anyone removed the Receiver and replaced it with a satisfactory
unit with Stabilization? Thanks, kpwink

2. Fixed speed driving
The Fixed speed driving function is integrated into controller, so that the bait boat can go straight at a constant speed, and the operation is simple, saving time and labor;
3. Yaw automatic correction
It has an automatic balance adjustment system, which can effectively control the driving direction of the boat and keep driving straightto avoid excessive yaw due to wind and waves;
4. Long distance strong signal receiving system
Remote controller can be achieved the signal without blocking in the range of 400-500 meters, without fear of signal interference;
5. Double motor and three blades propeller design
The boat features a powerful dual-motor design that provides sufficient power, and is equipped with a three-bladed propeller to increase the pushing power in the water for better driving speed and experience.

So I sold all my heli, plane, drone and FPV stuff to get into cycling about 7 years ago. Sill heavy into cycling (yeah another expensive hobby) but I'm getting a hip replacement and I'll be off the bike for a while.

So I bought a radio (Jumper T12, before knowing about the OpenTx feud) and a gasser plane (Slick 540). Apparently I have 3 planes stored at a buddy's house, and a guy at the field gave me a couple hanger queens (I also bought the gasser from him).

So I'm well on my way to getting back, even though my surgery is SEVERAL months out.

The pricing on everything is AMAZING compared to when I got out, entry level goggles $40???? No such thing 5 years ago!!

The learning curve is steep though, lol

ZOHD Orbit NEON: Presentation video (5 min 20 sec)

Order Price: $139.99

The 900mm ZOHD Orbit has been around for a while. Her wonderful stability in flight combined with a second to none portability and innovative assembly system makes her one of the most desirable airframes for any FPV lover: Hundreds of wonderful reviews online testify about this fact.

Of course, we could have just revamp her under our very popular MKII format, make it heavier, larger, more complicated to setup… Instead of all of that, we went the other way around: This wing is already tons of fun, how can we take it to the next level, without compromising the fun factor?

Doing it at night!

ZOHD Orbit Neon is the world first snap-n-fly portable FPV wing with built-in LED for night flying. It is easy to hand launch and fly super stable, the Orbit wing is very convenient to carry with because the detachable main wing can be assembled easily by plugs, meanwhile the new crash absorption system will save the plane even in a hard crash. The built-in servo structure makes the airfoil more aerodynamic and avoid damage even in a crash.

With ZOHD Orbit Neon you can have countless ours of fun. Just picture this: Turning off the LED system, will give you a super capable FPV wing, to fulfill all your expectations in first person view action. Now the sun is going down? No Problem! Turn on...Continue Reading
