Made a start on another brushless micro quad,
Gotta use up those 20x 6500kv motors I bought lol!
This time I'm making the frame myself from bamboo skewers like I have done before with brushed motors.
Fashioning brushless motor mounts into the skewers took a lot of time and patience and careful measuring , drilling and filing.
Hope it can actually stand up to motor torque after all that work!
So far the 2 sticks weigh 2.8 grams and will give a frame size of about 125mm diagonal between motor shafts, should give room for bigger props then on my 110 size build so one cell lipo should do well on this quad.
I've have this https://www.boldclash.com/boldclash-...dshot-600.html on the way to me and will probably fit it to this quad if it arrives in time otherwise I will use a h101 silverised board again and some cheap 3 amp ESC from bg.

Flight controller and reciever will be the boldclash bwhoop b03 with silverised acro from ware.

Mounting everything will be worked out as I go along, bamboo skewers make good frames as they don't conduct electricity and have a natural dampening quality so electronics can be mounted directly on the wood if need be and motor vibrations will be damped out without the need for soft mounting.

I bought the Rc832 5.8 GHz reciever from akk technology to plug into fly 32inch TV screen to allow fpv flying using large screen TV ,
It's a good cheap way of getting fpv picture and damn good one at that!

Postage was fast as always from akk.
The unit is a simple affair, just av1 and av2 out , antenna , frequency button , channel button and power socket which worked directly on both 2 cell and 3 cell lipo.
It came with all cables needed and removable antenna so cp one could be used if needed.
Everything worked perfectly and picture on my telly was great, I flew around a bit a then did a flight right out of the bedroom window and round garden etc and back in through the window with ease, no lag to speak of and picture was clear even with stock antenna.
Note this was recorded on the eachine vrd2 goggles as I don't have a recorder set up on the rc832 yet.

Having used the eachine vr d2 goggles for a bit and found them to be uncomfortable and also suffering from a white out screen problem I ordered a set of Hyperion goggles f640 off eBay for £85
They are available in various places including Amazon and gearbest etc etc,
Just search and you will find lol...
They are much nicer to wear and so light I can just push them on top of my head when I m not flying,
Picture is not adjustable and neither is the lens position so if they don't suit your eyesight you would probably struggle, maybe glasses could be worn I guess.
For me they fitted ok , slightly less colour then eachine vrd2 and eye spacing is not quite right for me but not too far , I can still fly with them.
I've tested them for a few days now and I'm getting used to them, picture is not as large and vibrant as the vr d2 goggles but it is more in focus and much easier on the eyes, I can fly for as long as I like without getting headache ..
Battery lasts maybe 3 hours and can run on a usb charger to charge up whilst flying so more problem there.
They can be worn with or without the black out cover and work fine both ways, obviously black out cuts out any light problem reflecting on screen.
There is no DVR function which is a shame because it means I need to have my vrd2 goggles with me if I want to record the flight .
There is av in and earphones so film watching is possible but tbh I would not fancy watching a whole film with these.
Overall I am happy with them, especially at the price point which is close to the big box type goggles ,
These are much smaller and nicer and just look cool!( Star trek fans will like em just for looks alone lol.).
Only one antenna but range on stock antenna is already better then the vrd2 which has diversity.
Antenna can be swapped for different types of needed and I will be trying out some akk cp antenna on it at some point when weather allows.
