Well, I succeeded in breaking a few planes.
I've lost track but have a few new ones. The Parkzone Corsair is a nice airplane but oddly isn't as much fun to fly or as easy to see on an overcast day as the T-28.
E-Flite PT-19 flies great as does the Flyzone Sensei (lost to an RX failure).
I was so happy with the Sensei that I bought the Flyzone Calypso which I am really enjoying.
Oh, and the E+Flite Advance 25e. Flys great but it could be a bit lighter. A bit difficult to get the CG back as far as it should be. 32 and recommended battery would require weight in the tail. 2650ma battery far back and the 25 motor seemed best.

I have no more room or money for more airplanes. I better crash a couple to make space and a reason to get more.
I really like this Parkzone T-28. It really flies nicely and is great fun to do landings and takeoffs. Very happy with it!

Put the old Hobie Hawk together again with modern radio. Flew without even having to trim it after sitting in its box for 31 years. Fun!

Finished the Mini FuntanaX.

I needed a new "travel plane". We camp at altitudes from 6500 to 8500' so the stock Easy Star is a bit weak at those elevations. I fitted my old Superfly motor by bolting a stick to the top of an empty 400 motor can. This gave clearance for the 8x4 prop. Plenty of power to ROG. Stock downthrust is fine but it pulls some to the right under heavy power. Not sure which way to go with sidethrust on a pusher when it does that. I may not bother anyway. Its not uncontrollable.

One flight, but I sure like it on a nice calm morning. I'll get a feel for it and up the rates and try to learn some 3D stuff.
Its got the Atlas motor from my Alfa FW190D. Plenty of power.
I'm no purist so I like the homemade landing gear. Weighs 15.5oz

Its a nice little airplane. I used the E-flite 450 from the dear departed MUS for power. Works great.

Oh, I like this airplane. Easy to fly and flies great. I just like its looks so much that it makes me nervous to fly it.

Finished the SE5a and flew it for the first time today. Flew great. Only had to add a small amount of downtrim. I'm going to enjoy flying this aircraft.

Got 'em on today but have yet to try them. I may need a bigger lake though.

I just threw this together and it works great. I couldn't figure how to put the cheap $39 Walmart camera on the plane without doing a bunch of cutting I didn't want to do. I figured it would be too much drag hanging out there in the breeze and it couldn't drag on the ground of course.
I rubberbanded and spot glued with hot glue and put it at the CG. I used the long piece of plywood and dowels so that the rubberbands wouldn't damage the wing. I was SURE that the weight and drag on one side would be terrible. It was just a few clicks of aileron trim and you would really have to be paying attention to notice any decrease in performance. And all you have to do to get ready is two rubberbands over the wing and plug in the servo to the rx. Used a servo hotglued to the plywood and a bellcrank made out of a servo arm hot glued to the camera. It comes off easily. I drilled some holes in the back of the plywood so I could see the lcd screen and push the buttons with a stick for deleting etc..

While on a camping, flying, hiking vacation last year.
Met this bear on a busy day at Convict Lake right by the trail, not 25 feet away. He is a Black bear even though he is cinnamon in color. He was friendly except when he and I got into a Slowstick vs. Easy Star discussion on best first plane.

Foam is the future, but it's nice that you can get a balsa/ply built for you at a reasonable price. I'm really am happy with my E-flite Mini Ultrastick. Much easier to fly than I thought. If you've only flown 3 channels, but don't get mixed up on your orientation while flying, then you can handle the MUS. The self correcting only comes into play when you get "lost" and don't know what the plane is doing. If you've licked that, there is nothing difficult about ailerons. Just more precise, hence, easier. The MUS doesn't land faster than most 3 channels, so that isn't a problem either. FUN!

I repainted the ES. I got the idea from Patrick Plawner's page. The "fin" is removable via velcro.

If I had it to do over I would cut the extension box on a 45 and save a lot of space. It works great though to protect it in the car and the garage.

Finished it today. 12.9oz with 3s 1200 Polyquest.
