Yes during the Christmas break I scored yet another Enya 60-4C engine. This one was a bit worse than the last one. This one did not have a carb or exhaust header and looked 10 times worse!
Visually this looked like a mistake right when I took it out of the box. But I set to work inspecting it, and then doing some preliminary cleaning. Again all the fasteners had crud in them so that all had to be cleaned out before I could begin dis-assembly. This thing looked like it had spend time at the bottom of a lake and unfortunately I was not able to get the exterior nice and shiny again.
What a surprise once I opened it up. It looked like I scored another low time engine. I did shoot videos of the dis-assembly but took very few, i.e. none, pictures during the process. I got so wrapped up in the process that I neglected to take any pictures except the before and after ones shown here.
Rest assured the piston looked new and although the ring was compressed and stuck in the ring groove, once freed up sealed quite well. Even the valves showed minimal run time, with no real carbon build up on the exhaust valve at all. My estimate that this engine had less than 1 gallon through it. I will be running it tomorrow and shooting video of that.
The parts I had to replaced/include in this rebuild are, a new carb, new Enya #3 glow plug, and exhaust header with nut. All other parts were in good enough shape to re-use.
It may not look the nicest on the outside in person
