I was able export a wing solid! This is the most important progress I have had in CAD so far.
I omitted any internal structure for now and am using the solid in another program that Im more familiar with for now.
With the ability to have a wing, fuselage, tail surfaces solids I can basically do anything with those from mold making to fabrication of foam cutting templates to extracting profiles for laser cutting, CNC or of course 3D printing.
I'm not an Aerospace engineer and am basically trying to just throw together something decent but I think it's definitely possible now to design a model that is sufficient for the regime of intended use (most likely a DLG Glider)
My first efforts with product will likely be either hotwire cut foam covered with film or balsa or a 3D printed structure covered with either balsa and or film.
Pics included are of the wing shape produced with Blender and help from 3DP tools and the further modification (just testing process) with Matter Control primatives for a geodetic structure for 3D printing. 2nd image shows part of how I want the model to look. Purple structure will be printed in PLA Foam or a combination of foam core and more rigid material for the surface (s). The white leading edge piece I hope to print from foaming TPU/wire cut from a similar foam. In front of the keyboard is a test print of PLA Foam (for a replacement elevator for a 1.5m DLG. It is surprisingly strong for it's weight and within 2 grams of the original
