Okay...

Finished the plane a bit back... Right?

Well... I bought a E-Flite mCP x 200mAh 1s 25C and a Parkzone Sukhoi SU-26xp prop (160mm x 70mm) and I realized when I tried to put it on the charger that the plug is wrong so I need to find a way to make an adapter for it. But I used the E-Flite 150mAh 12C and it is a rocket when the battery is charged but it downs't last long so I'll need an adapter for it and I'll get more flight time. But now, I just need to find a mCP x connector and a spare UMX version. So for now I need to use the ones I got.

1: you can do it almost anywhere
2: it's a good way to show reflexes
3: cheaper than say EDF jets, pylon racers, etc.
4: fun

Wow. I just realised... My camera... The one I lost in the 20ft lake, had a bunch of video from me flying my Pizza Box Flyer, pictures from my TechOne mini Yak 54, and a lot of video from me and my friend turtle fishing.

Dang!

Q: What is the difference between the AR6400 and the AR6400L?
A: The AR6400L has longer servo travel, which makes for bigger control throws possible.

Q: Why do some Ultra Micro Planes use brushed motors with a gearbox instead of a really small brushless motor?
A: Many reasons, actually: Cheaper, Lighter, Easier to maintain

Q: Why do Ultra Micro Planes have to be so light?
A: With the tiny brushed motor, there is not a lot of thrust. So, every gram the plane weighs it does several things: the plane must fly faster due to higher wing loading, and it won't have as much vertical power. Also, it puts more load on the battery, motor, and the built in ESC.

Q: Why do ultra micro planes have such small servos?
A: Look at the question above.

Was at the lake couple days ago, recording me and my bud doing turtling.(fishing for turtles). I must have had a butterfinger, because next thing I knew I heard a "crash" "plop" and it was in the water. Thing was waterproof for 10 feet, but in the 6.5ft wide ("outcast" as I call it) it went in this order:

depth:

1ft
3ft
7ft
9ft
12ft
15ft
20ft
drain that leads to fountain

So, if it went anywhere past the 7ft ledge, it is waterlogged. Made a couple nets trying to get it back, but it's gone. It had a bunch of good pictures, videos, and other stuff in it, all gone. What a tragic day that was.

Ahh! One of the blood vessels in my left eye ruptured! No big, it just looks terrible. Can't really do anything about it, right?

Don't expand the picture. It won't get any better. In fact, it will get worse.

Finally started working on it. The motor is on, the AR6400L is on, the aileron servos are installed, and it is practically done, just need to do the elevator and rudder push rods (the stock ones were too short) and it'll be ready to fly!

Blue Wonder 1300kV 2712-12

Please Note: These propeller tests are for this motor ONLY. Even the 1500kV version of this is quite different. Your results may be based off the 1500kV version or even a random motor. The 1500kV version on a 3s can NOT handle a 9x5! I will not accept responsibility for you burning your motors up because you were too lazy to read the title.

8x4 DD : "it's okay; not a lot of thrust but the acceleration if definitely there!"

8x3.8 Slo-Fly: "it's okay; could be better. It does, however, seem to have quite a bit more thrust than the 8x4."

9x5 DD: "very good performance, definitely a lot more thrust than any 8" prop."

10x6 DD trimmed to be 9x6 DD: "out of them all, this is the overall best. Lots and lots of thrust, lots and lots of stability in high alpha when flying against the wind, and it's easier to tell when IT"S broken "
And, besides that; it looks so cool in the sky!

Quotes all by: me. Tests all by: me.

"if you want the best indoor performance with the 1300kV version, go with a 10x6 DD trimmed to be 9x6 DD!"

As you may be able to tell, I love Yaks!

Anyway, the giant Yak-54 is slowly making progress. I haven't been able to make a video since there hasn't been enough interesting stuff to make a video of. But basically, all I need to do is finish cutting out the plywood servo mounts, figure out how I am going to be making the motor mount and make it, and install all the electronics and I'll be pretty much done! All I'll just need to do then is the D/R and maybe even Exponential for the aileron! I'm almost done! Yayayayay!
