I got DX9 as a birthday present for myself.

I have to say that I'm really impressed with it. Voice alerts are great and the transmitter is just as friendly and easy to use as you can expect from Spektrum product and there has been no problems with it so far. Wireless buddy box works wonderfully with Spektrum DX6i (check my son smiling when he got to fly first time in real world - not only in simulator). Still haven't had opportunity to try telemetry... I've spent quite lot of time transferring my models from Turnigy TH9X and Spektrum DX6i to DX9 and trimming them one by one.

Check the review at RCGroups for more details on DX9. It gives quite thorough overhaul of this transmitter.

I also finished Lil' Ripper as a new 3D trainer to replace my old Yak-54 which has seen a lot of flying. Lil' Ripper really feels like a nice plane. Some trimming and more flying is still required to really get comfortable with it, but it is a really good design.
