Finished the Expresso yesterday.

Got to the hill about 2:30. The wind was strong and variable, gusting from 15 to 30, averaging about 20. The direction was shifting too. I taped 6oz of lead to my combat wing and had a blast. About 4 it kicked up to 40mph on my pocket wind gauge. It was ballistic.

I did not maiden the Expresso. Maybe tomorrow if it calms down.

Flew after work with Jerry, Ronnie, Chris and two new guys, John and Jay. Jerry dominated the combat circuit with his new wing. It was the most planes in the air at once for us - ever.

The lights on the Bee looked great but the plane ran out of juice after 30min or so, and this on a fresh charge.

Flew in South winds with Jerry after work. He flew his new (to him) Stembridge Thruster or Ridge Runner or whatever it is that he bought from Jim Schwiekart today. That thing moves like it's on rails. We'll have to see see how it does in heavier air.

It's on channel 30 and I think I had some radio interference whenever I got too close to Jerry's radio.

I put a new pushrod in the Expresso and it fixed the rudder double center problem. I think I'm going to have to redo the servo tray to straighten out the linkages but it ought to fly ok now. We'll see (hopefully) soon.

Got skunked by the rain today. The JW progresses. The Expresso has double centering issues and will likely need a new rudder pushrod and maybe a complete reworking of the servo tray.
