"What if you took a cordless drill and crossed it with an airsoft gun, and some bits of plumbing? Could we really make a working minigun to wave around?"

Oh, yes, we could. Making the minigun is now the EASY part.

I almost bought one of these echo 1 minis, used. So I looked into broken minigun, Asahi, Echo 1, Piper's Precision.Turns out, they can really go ka-bonkers and lock up, chewing up the ammo, and generally needing a thorough minigun cleaning.

SO sad, the price was not bad. But I'll pass...I think. These electric miniguns are gorgeous.

I can imagine three guys in bulletproof coats, all with miniguns, backpacks, ammo chutes, the whole setup. But they're all Bubble-guns! list

The AirSharp MINIGUN BUILDER PARTS KIT contains 23 components to make the main body, drive bulkheads and transmission casing for a convincing -looking home mini gun build.

3" ABS (black plastic plumbing) pipe is needed to make the body tubes from. All my future minis will start with these core parts.
This makes a universal minigun, just under 4" in diameter that can be set up with the included handle parts, or mounted using the included lugs.
The key features of this design are a reliable gear drive (gears are included) and a hollow center axle large enough to put an airsoft or paintball gun through.
MANY have asked me to make them "just the flat parts" for my miniguns. I finally have the design refined enough to provide useful and complete-able kits. -AND, this kit is 100% LEGAL to ship anywhere.
It can be mounted in any position, there is no top or bottom to the gun itself. You can make it so either the front or rear comes off for service, or both. It can spin either direction (duh). You can make the barrel a stubby or silly, Moby dick-Big. Almost ANYTHING can go inside, because you can cut the body tube and motor cover to any length. If you have a drill, you're gonna complete it.
More to come...

Home made minigun. Boxing it up. I took lots of pics, but it never seems enough, once they're gone.
But, my home would be even more cluttered. I have a LOT of home-made toys. Miniguns are LARGE and take up space
(This one is only 24" overall -dinky).

My wife spoils me; I can have pretty much anything I want. I showed her the Echo1 mini, she said "order one!".

I decided that a solid axle would really be a nice project for increasing my CNC skills. I made this on my Shopbot PRS. Sitting on top is the safety drum for the MG08/15 machinegun (airsoft) I'm finishing up.
