I fabricated a combination speaker box & motor mount. I originally thought of mounting the batteries about there too. -

The sound box just slips into the front after a fair bit of cutting of the firewall. -

Started off with a front mounted Hacker but realised the motor mount would stick through the fake radial engine too far. -

Converted to rear mounted Hyperion and moved the batteries to above the sound box to help gain the cg. -

Plenty of room under the cowling. -

The fake radial engine just screws to the ply plate. -

It's not the most convenient thing to work on as it is big.

Seagull Edge 540 64 inch e-conversion. Heaps of power with Hyperion Zs4035 on 8 cells. This is my second one since the first only lasted about 35 seconds on its maiden flight due to reversed ailerons and very rearward cg. -

Still fly it. It's not this clean and "new" looking anymore. -

AC World in Japan used to do specials on excess Hyperion stock. This is the third Super Chipmunk I bought for 115 bucks. Did I say I like them and that they are great to fly? No. 2 hit a helicopter and turned into confetti! -

Another Hyperion $115 bargain! Lovely lovely thing to fly. Now running a Hyperion Zs4025/10 on 6 cells to give rockship performance but so easy to fly. Very much a favourite. ESC caught fire last week when the cf undercarriage collapsed on takeoff. -

Yak 54 120 sized 10 cell conversion that I haven't really bonded with. Maybe it just needs more power..... -

I like this era of British aeroplanes. Miles Sparrowhawk of 1935 was cobbled together by Mrs Miles from other existing Miles aircraft components to compete in the Kings Cup air race. -

80" Astrohog I bought from a guy who built scores of these for sale. He built this last one especially for himself and named it after his wife who I assume is a little crazy. He burnt his plans after this one. 8 cells & Zs4035 is my contribution -

Ritewing Demon. Everyone needs one as every flight is an adventure.

Seagull Edge 540 8 cell conversion goes wrong on the maiden flight. Having the ailerons reversed didn't help.... -

Seagull Sparrowhawk electric 10 cell conversion doesn't survive a cartwheel down strip very well. Now repaired and still a favourite. -

Over exhuberance with the throttle burnt my 16/40/1.5C which then caused my ICE100 to burn. -

1st ICE200 Lite lasted less than 3 seconds -

2nd ICE200 Lite lasted about 3 minutes of flight. Motor fused first causing the speedy to capitulate.

will hopefully contain the power of a Mega 22/30/2 or 1.5SE, ICE 100 and 5 cell 4000. -

Mocked up a 22/50 and ICE 200 Lite too but there's not much room left for the battery! -

The hatches only needed slight modification to contain the ICE 100 and 5 cell 4000. Ahhhhh, there was a fair amount of foam removed too! -
