I'm very happy to release this video.

This ICON is my third version.

Since two years ago, I made other two version, one was built simply, second was mount head fog lights with remote controlled on-off.

Finally I improved, replace and make my own many parts until flight performance estimate perfect.

Use this footage as a reference to improve your small ICON A-5 as you like.

This morning before thunder and lightning, I did a revenge test flight.
This time, my AT-6 have U-BEC, no anxiety to be no-control.
At first, I tried gear up-down. It worked good.
The next, I did flap down and up, confirmed at a normal horizontal flight speed with pay attention sudden tip stall.
The flap works excellent as long as keep horizontal, no quick spin behavior.
Finally at landing sequence, with applicable flare and in stable, she landed smooth, as if anyone didn't notice when she touched down.

PS.
At this flight, I noticed why some people wants to replace more powerful motor.
As a scale flight, her scale flight speed is adequate with default motor, I think.
But if I want to fly with more relax, to get more stable horizontal and turning flight or want to perform basal stunts, more power is needed.
Actually, I almost flied with full throttle, it's not too fast yet.
I'll exchange more powerfull motor, or higher KV motor, if I have a chance.

Recently, I'm totally hooked on electric war-birds.

T-28 Trojan is light enough to slow down by flap. It's like a big plane.
TA-6 Texan has pseudo engine sound system. Some people says this version has many progress than the former one. I think this system has still lots of potential.

I flew AT-6 on last Sunday, on 30th June.
This was a test flight with engine sound.
Short footage though, you'll see how fantastic this plane is

Enjoy!

AT-6 Texan, PNF kit, arrived just a week ago.
Today I finished test flight, not maiden flight. I had to check every gimmics.
Some issue were found, as I had supposed.
Generally speaking, I can't reccomend this kit for begginers but for experienced.
All the club member I belong enjoyed her sound

I'll upload the test floght movie soon.

Hi all
I think Durafly T28 Trojan is fantastic plane for all RC fan.
I finished in a night. It's very easy to constract.
Retract gears with hatches and LED lights have already installed.
Orners works are to glue wings and fusalage and connect wires.
The next day after I finished around mid night, I maidened her.
her tendency is mild and smooth.
The flap works well for soft landings.

One of my best friend and I had a mimic race at a big lake as usual.
This was the fatal race for us. My friend's M67 broken hardly, besides mine was slight.
He promised coming back soon as fast as possible.

Hi all, especially boat freaks

Now I've finished power boat "LIBERO 20", vintage taste, came from HK a month ago.
In April I'm joining water-planes power boats and yachts meeting, limited electric power. It's a great chance to have maiden run
I can hardly wait for the meeting

I made up my cuite movie, also the pilot cutie.
I added several reform, refinement and improvement.

As I enjoyed making this waterplane about a harf year, my hanger has accomodated about a dozen new wings, includes bi- or tetra-plane.

Anyway enjoying new material, foam or carbon, drives us think new way of making. This is inspiring!

Finnaly, I finished modfying hull shape and side floats, or sponsons.
The hull shape has corncave at nose part and basically straight at latter part, it will be easy to take off from the water, I think. I made side floats to be volumed up to get more stable in crosswind.

A gorgeous pilot in ICON A-5 by nfd hobby is just fit to this sea plane.

I did want peaceful pilot like her. Such pilot is perfect for a relaxing destination, I think.

I want to have the maiden flight ASAP.

The other day a pilot arrived from HK.
Just the size!
Pilot Model Female (61x29x44mm)
Her weight is only 17 gram.

A small PET bottle located behind is a hot lemon with ginger juice.
It's very popular in Japan. I love this in winter.

After two piece of fuselage parts, it's time to modify or change the small ICON's hull shape.
I've already made a special hull plate that will work to easy to take off from the water, I hope.
Now it's just before paste up the hull plate. I reinforced hull plastic plate by micro fibleglass cloth.
The first stage of modification is to get big hole at the bottom of the fuselage.
To adjust to the fuselage, I added spacer parts cut from polystyrene paper this also work for buffer material from the water beating the hull.
And bung up water discharging hole that has never woorked well.

Today I had a chance to have some progress with my small ICON.
It was time to finish the fuselage though, I couldn't get blocks of time.
my strategy to progress the third ICON, I cut out bellow three ideas.
First, carbon square tubes are mounted in the center of the fuselage and vertical fin. This is expected to get stability in the flights.
Second, the elevator servo is mounted in the vertical fin. This avoids the shift of the neutral position of elevator that is caused from thedilation and contraction tendency of foam.
Third, I made the ICON run on the water when the plane is planing in the cross wind. I got the rudder fin moved to near the end of the fuselage, and is poked downward from the hull surface. Sothe rudder linkage had to rebuilt to be simple.
Now it's just before the fuselage is going to finish.

This picture is my macchi's floats. I made bottom surface by molding plastic plates.
This works pretty good.
