Shanghai International Model Exhibition (SIME) is attracting both local and international attention. Until now, 93% stands have already been sold.

According to SIME official statistics, 80% of confirmed exhibitors are previous exhibitors, such as Tiger, Radar, E-sky, Nine Eagles, Awing Roc, iMaxRc, Haoye, Helang, Asia Toy, TenShok, KSracing, Colco, Fu Yuan, Chiyuan, GWS, Winning RC-Tech, Starmax, Walkera, Shida, Famous etc. They have chosen very good location on the first floor and the second floor and confirmed big self-designed stands.

As is known to us, the date of SIME was frequently altered in recent years, which was like from June at the usual time to April in 2010, and now, to the September in 2011. The alteration for each time was hard and tangled to the SIME TEAM who knew that it would make influence on both promotion plan and displaying effectiveness of the exhibitors, let alone the problems about venue reservation, multi-communication, and so on.

The date conflicted with the Shanghai World Expo or similar exhibition was the mainly reason to make the alteration happen. Although the SIME2010 was very impressive with great efforts of the TEAM, in case of earlier date which made some enterprises a kinda unprepared, but the TEAM still found the April date was not so perfect to both the visitors and exhibitors according to the surveys at the spot of SIME.

September 2-4, the date of SIME2011, confirmed after multi-aspect-consideration and communication with some exhibitors, was well received by the enterprises in the model industry. Some of them even adviced it was better to fix the date in September every year, which will be considered by the TEAM. Besides, some overseas professional visitors even sent email and expressed they would come to visit our 8th SIME.

Removing a loose tooth by tying a piece of string to a door handle and then pulling it shut used to be common practice.

However, it seems the method has moved on with the times.

As this video shows, one American family - who are not identifiable - have swapped the door for a remote control car to help remove their daughter’s wobbly milk tooth

A piece of string is tied around the child’s tooth and to an RC vehicle, which is then steered over a jump by the girl's father.

The girl can be heard saying: ‘Don’t do it now daddy.’

And her father says: ‘No, honey you’re all right. You’ve got to smile for me.’

The child is aware about what’s going to happen. She tells her mother: ‘That car is attached to my tooth and is going to go over that jump and pull out my tooth.’

The video goes into slow motion as the deed is carried out.


A little surprised, the girl says: ‘It did pull out my tooth.’


She then runs to the piece of string, and dangles her tooth in front of the camera.

Afterwards, the mother can be heard giggling, saying: ‘Dude that’s cool.’

US President Barack Obama arrived in China's economic hub Shanghai on Sunday night, starting a state visit to China.

Air Froce One touched down at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport in heavy rain at about 23:10.

This is Obama's first state visit to China since he assumed the presidency in January. He is also the first US president who paid a state visit to China within one year in office.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the People's Republic of China and the United States.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Permanent Representative to the United Nations Susan Rice and National Security Advisor James Jones also arrived in Shanghai Sunday night.

President Obama will meet with local officials on Monday and have a dialogue with Chinese youth, during which he is supposed to answer questions from netizens via Xinhuanet, a news website of the Xinhua News Agency on Monday.

He will leave Shanghai Monday afternoon for Beijing, where he will hold talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao and meet with other Chinese leaders.

Leaders of the two countries are expected to discuss bilateral ties and major international and regional issues of common concern, according to diplomatic sources.

Presidents of the two countries have met several times since Obama took office.
