Landed way hard today on the big slick. Tore up the gear and damaged the bottom just a little. Problem was I could not get this thing down to the ground and slow down. It just kept floating past the runway. Part of the problem is its way tail heavy. Tucking to gear inverted. Weird because I was balancing it and actually added tail weight to it. Should have just flown it instead but hey its a lesson. Going to pull the weight off the back and borrow the gear from the Velox as it still needs a motor and servos so it will be a while before its good to go. Was a little embarrassing smacking the slick. Flies great and then the idiot at the controls cant land his $1500 plane.

I am getting closer and closer to being done assembling the 70" slick. It is taking me forever! Lots of learning along the way but man there is a ton of stuff that goes into a gasser..yea I know I'm preaching to the choir here.

Just put together the push rod for the elevator and a little nervous about the amount of thread engagement so put a dab of thick CA on the interface of rod to end link.

Next thing to do is install the rudder and elevator push rods.
Cut out the slots in the bottom cover of the fuse.
Install the servos and push rods for the two wings.
Then I'm waiting on flight pack and switch.

It amazes me how many people want to block posts by other users. I realize its freedom of choice but are people really getting on your nerves that much you need to block them from all posts you see. wow.

I just finished the bashed build of my mini telemaster.

I added ailerons and a battery hatch. I added the battery hatch infront of the windshield. I thought for sure it would be nose heavy but ended up adding an ounce of led to the back of the battery hatch to balance on the recommended cg

Still have not the guts to fly it with out assistance. The original plan was to fly it at the houston Bayou fly in but the report of possible 20 mph winds left the plane at home.
