Supermarket ques Apparently over 100 meters long ..

Panic buying is being fuelled by the = MEDIA ! & the Gooberment !

Wont be long before ration cards are introduced !

Swallow Flying Wing !

Disappointing on many levels ..
As a Noob Wing ! It might actually work . Cos it can fly sooooo " wait for it " ....... Slow !
On the downside , it's soft , and due to the drag just sucks a lot of power ( to maintain forward flight )
For those that can fly , there are better wings ( like the Bee 490 ) .
Dont forget , if you do Swallow ( sorry ) , use 9g servos , dont bother trying to save weight !
You will need a decent motor and battery combo if you want to see speed ! But then the swallow will flap its wings like a Seagull .
Did I mention there are better wings ?

3D Printer

I told myself , 2020 I would start printing .
Geetech A10 printer .
Filament run out sensor , will be modified .. ( More later )
At the moment I am chasing cheap filament ..
ABS $13 oz , and PLA around $18 oz ..
Ozzi banana $ is nose diving , so a while from now costs of everything will go up !
I will buy a little filament now , what else am I going to do during this time of uncertainty .

Yep Les Amis,

First step for me is to join the wing halves.
Remove 5-10mm of foam both sides from each wing half. Making sure you remove all the foam attached to the skin also. Gently scrape the foam away from the skin along the edges.
Fill this area with thickened epoxy. Fumed silica and or cabosil. Let cure.
After cured, sand equally both sides to desired dihredral. I’m sanding to 6.5 degrees.
Tape the bottoms together so the wing lays flat on the bench. Add thickended epoxy again to the center joint. Then either prop wing up between two chairs, one flat other raised to desired dihedral, or on my case I prop both sides and weigh down the center. After in place, remove excess epoxy mixture from the joint. Let cure.
I like to drill the wings holes now. Locate where u want the holes. I like 25 and 100mm from the leading edge. I drill small holes making sure they are centered. Then enlarge then to accept the 3mm screws.
With carbon cut out for the center patch, top and bottom. Add center patch closing up the center section. Let cure. Redrill holes and countersink.
Locate the wing mounting nuts for the fuse. Mark and drill two holes to accept the mounting nuts. I make the holes just large enough to pull the nuts through and stay in place on their own. CA in place. Check alignment by measuring from the wing tip hinge line to the tail end of the boom.
Mount the vertical. Using the template, scribe the outline of the vertical. Gently cut this out with an xacto or I like to...Continue Reading

Pondering which resources to use, I came across a metal swashplate for a v911 while looking for matching size swash balls to use in a hcp100s project. The balls were perfect and then I noticed the v911 swashplate holds a 3mm shaft verses the k110/k120 using a 2.5mm shaft. My pondering was over and now to make it work for my DMD k110 driveline.

K130 3mm main bearing fits the k110 frame perfect. Now, the v911 swashplate is fixpitch and the k110 is collective pitch. So, I popped out both swashplate center portions with the swiveling ball and put the v911 portion into the k110 portion and created a k110 hybrid swashplate for 3mm shafts. Next, I removed the balls from the k110 discarded portion and put hem on the v911 portion being used. After all that, it seemed I could of just changed the swiveling ball, but the v911 is a littler wider.

Big difference in the blade grips travel as the V911 inner portion have longer arms for the balls connecting the dogbones. Little tx tweaking to soften the travel and it’s all nice in conjunction with the tail assembly being used.

DustOff #11 - "Glue & Fly™ Series" F22 Micro V2 - It handles the Wind fairly well ;-)

Time to Blow the Dust Off this Micro Parkjet ;-)
It's been too long since I've flown this Parkjet.
The Wind is a bit stronger than I would like and some significant Gust keep coming in but I think it handled it fairly well.
Although, there's nothing like landing in a pretty good Crosswind ;-)

The skill level needed for this Parkjet is Intermediate to Advanced.
Intermediate setup is a 2S Power System with 10 points more Dual-Rate than on a 3S Setup.
Advanced setup is a 3S Power System.
It's very docile on a 2S Power System, Fast & Aerobatic with a 3S Power System.

The GFS F22 Micro V2 Plans are available for Patrons!

Kudos to CPAA for holding the annual swap meet! Probably the last one until we get beyond COVID 19! It was more relaxed than usual due to the lower attendance. Attendees were respectful of "personal space". The club made modifications to procedure to reflect exposure concerns. All-in-all a well handled event with many good deals.

Went out a second time with the wing ( over due flight )

A) Wow , this is a really draggy design , it really slows down when you cut back on power .
B) ANd it flexes something terrible , it looks to flex so much it might actually affect the direction you fly in .
C) That softness ! It might also be responsible for the motor screws coming lose and the motor falling off !
D) NX3 flight stability (?) looks to have failed to initiate .. ( Wonderful )

I recently had an item that a buyer wanted to buy and we agreed on a price, he paid my PayPal account and PAYPAL had my payment on a hold status for 21 days.....? I have been selling thru PAYPAL for more than 10yrs. and NEVER was my payments held. When i called them to inquire why the Hold thay said its policy...... When I told them I have NEVER had payments on a 21 day hold EVER. She said because I have not sold for several months and I need to re-establish my selling history again....... I told her its insulting..... and I wanted to speak to a supervisor........ she refused to let me speak to a supervisor.......

The Buyer and I agreed to cancel the sale

I will not sell thru PAYPAL anymore unless the buyer wants to do a friends and family gift payment.......... I will not give a penny to PAYPAL anymore ......... I will buy via PAYPAL but if you want to buy ....... its either a local cash sale or a check mailed to me or a paypal friends and family gift payment.

In my OPINION PAYPAL IS HOLDING YOUR PAYMENT FOR 21 DAYS ......THEY ARE LIKE BANKS USING TO MONEY PAY THEIR STOCKHOLDERS TO PAD THEIR BANK ACCOUNTS........

ALL COMMENTS ARE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED......

I HAVE ALSO TALKED TO OTHERS THAT ALL OF A SUDDEN HAD THE SAME THING DONE........ AND ALSO PAYMENTS TO A SELLER DISAPPEAR..... MY COUSIN HAD $400 LOST BY PAYPAL AND SHE NEVER GOT PAID.......... BY PAYPAL ,,,,,, SHE HAD TO CONTACT THE BUYER TO GET THE MONEY FROM AND WHEN THE BUYER SENT HER A CHECK ..... PAYPAL....... CHARGED HER THE $400 .....SHE ACTUALLY HAD TO HIRE AN ATTORNEY....... 6MONTHS LATER HER ACCOUNT CHARGE WAS REMOVED AND THEY CLOSED HER ACCOUNT......

PAYPAL IS TO BIG AND WE RELY TO MUCH ON THEM

I finally had a chance to take my new 50" Quaker Flash out to the field today and perform a maiden flight. The brand new engine started right up without too much fuss (Thunder Tiger GP07 on 25% fuel and 6x3 prop), and the Quaker flew right out of my hand and climbed skyward like it was headed home. Needed a little bit of trim, and the control throws were a bit more than I needed, but it flew just great! I'm pleased! It was breezy and cold this afternoon, with not much thermal activity, but I could tell from the way it glided around with the throttle back that this one will be a nice thermaller. Spring is almost here now. I will be flying this one a lot in the coming months!
