I started by cutting the paddles off where the bar starts to flair to the paddle. You will be taking off about 26mm on each end. This will leave the bar about 97mm from end to end. I had some wheel collars from past that were for planes. I dont have a # but I found two that were about 5.4mm wide with an ID of about 3.8mm and an OD of about 7.9mm and each one has a set screw. The OD of the bar is about 3.75mm so it fits nicely into the collar. You will notice the bar is halfmoon shaped with the open part being down. This open part works well for the set screw, so by putting the set screw down it will screw into the open part of the halfmoon pushing the outer OD part of the bar to the inter ID part of the collar. Have the collars flush with the ends of the bar. Do not over tighten the setscrew, just a lite snug for now. Next you will want to check the balance, if needed you can slide one of the collars in a little and sand off tthe end of the bar. I only had to do a very small correction to get it balanced. When balanced, snug the screws down good and they will dig into the plastic a little to form a good hold. Thats it. Time to test fly. For me, I had to trim one click of right Aile. She hovered great. I switched to high rate and noticed she was very quick. I had little or no pendulum effect, and seemed very stable. This was with about a 10min. test flight. I am very happy with the results of this mod. Any LHS should have these collars in stock and I would think the cost would be only a few bucks.WS
