Spent the last month chasing vibes in the 450. Ultimately, the culprit was a bent tail drive assembly. Made some other repairs and upgrades along the way:

* replaced mainshaft bearings
* installed correct washers between radial and thrust bearings in the main grips
* upgraded to v3 tail with a metal control arm
* removed slop from tail grips/linkages
* upgraded to v2 boom/bearing blocks
* corrected the collective pitch ranges, which had always been somewhat asymmetric
* blade tracking is almost perfect

The Variant seems to have picked up some hangar rash; elevator pushrod became detached. I'm tempted to gut it and replace it with flex rod.
