Hi everyone!
I'm new to the site and am just about to start building Robin Fowler's designed 71.5"Miles Messenger. The model will be based on Miles Messenger G-AKBO which was built in 1947 and won the King's Cup Air Race in 1947. I acquired the parts of 'BO that had been languishing in a hangar in Bristol from Jim Buckingham, owner of Monty's Messenger. It really was a basket of bits but having just a bit of experience in aircraft restoration I managed to put it back together and got it flying some 18 months later. I left the UK many years ago and live in Spain where I recently met a chap from the local rc flying group which got me to thinking!!
Back in the eighties I built a Mick Reeves 1/6 scale Hurricane which I still have. I love building the models but find it very difficult to fly them! I'm practising hard on a RF9 simulator which the other half gave me for Xmas. All help will be much appreciated, especially advice over what glues to use, and answering questions that surface during the build. Robin, your vast experience will be a bonus.
