After flying the blade with the videopod on it i flew for a little bit without it.. its a fun heli.. especially at a little over 10 oz with tp 730

Flew 2 packs in new typhoon set up with video pod.. the 480 has nice vertical which you can see by the 5 foot roll to quick vertical climb. just like when i installed the 480 in my buddys typhoon i had a hard time getting over the lack of gearbox wine. nice set up for regular aerobatics and high speed flying. heres the onboard video.. its about 4 minutes.

Finished installing E-Flite 480 outrunner and E-Flite 40 amp esc in my typhoon tonight. had my typhoon around 10 months now and needed a change of pace and it should cut down on vibration for my onboard video use. heres some pics while i wait for glue to cure/ weights of set up is also shown on both power set ups.. should have more on board video this weekend.. verticals will be VERY quick now and high speed flyby footage should look neat also.

Today was a little overcast but video came out ok. the byp is a lot of fun when wind is calmer. the camera weight is really noticable on the byp but it still flys well.. camera weighs 1.1 oz. im flying mine on a jr sport 4 channel no dual rates or expo.. 3 hs55's 20amp eflite esc and 1080 370 and tp 730 pack. its a fun plane

After trial and error ive gotten some better results shooting inflight video. antenna positioning and angle make a big difference depending on flight altitude and flight box/vibration distorts video quite a bit. ive tested this system in typhoon/byp yak/and my blade cp so far. heres some pics of current set up in typhoon and links to videos.. the video qaulity has been improving the more i trouble shoot set up and eliminate problems.. seriously considering going to heavier set up with tp2100 and 480 outrunner to eliminate vibration for best picture qaulity/im sure aerodynamics of camera mounting contribute to vibration in video as well. made two short flights per pack using tp1320.

im pretty happy with the set up now.. maybe just a little more fine tuning lol. the dx6 works well for my flying needs but the rachet had to go.. the fuel tubing trick.. much easier to keep collective smooth during hovering. Trex-And-DX6-Inside-Hovering also i have the videopod micro cam now.. should have some inflight video from helis and planes soon.

got to fly today...wind was the usual but not bad. gave blade cp a facelift/flew 2 packs through trex today and finally opened it up a little.. moves pretty quick and has decent top speed. its so much more stable than blade cp but then again you get what you pay for.. i have about 4 or 5 blade cp's invested in trex lol.

this thing is very stable. set up is almost where i want it.. still needs a little work on tail but flys very well for me now. maybe a little more cyclic throw with 20% expo once im more used to it. heres some video http://media.putfile.com/Getting-use...-450se-in-yard .
