When you can't fly, you can drive ! And when its cold, what's better than to FPV from the couch in the basement with the big flat screen ?

After driving the Summit FPV for a couple of months, here is my final set up. I now run the Summit with a Dragon link UHF system coupled to my DX7. I drive with the right stick, control pan and tilt with the left stick. Differentials locking is on flaps and low/high gear is on gear. I still have one channel left for an accessory, most probably I'll add a horn.

The goal is still to build a Tonka Summit, but for winter I prefer to stick with the stock body. So far it is plenty fun and I really love the truck. I use a security 2000 camera for night drive and a GoPro for day drive.

I had the best time at Halloween this year Should have brought out the recorder so I'd have some ground recording of the "Bone stock" Summit going around (and after) the kids

Good performance of the 900 mhz 200 mW video system here. Could go about 300 meters deep in the forest:

Really like this thing, pretty awsome for taking footage that a plane can't:

Finally put on a landing gear on the Stryker so I can sit in the car and ROG on the snow this winter while flying it FPV. Of course it is when your ready for it that there is no snow so I put on wheels for now. Very fun ! Bloopers at the end :

Tree flying and touch and goes (4 min 55 sec)

I finally got my GoPro ! Paid less since they got the new Hero2 out, I bought the 960. Would have liked the 60fps of the full edition for slow motion, but it still has great video quality:

Maidened of the Habu 32 today. 3 flights so far, excellent plane ! Tracks well, easy to handle, slows well on full flaps with good control authority. Lands well, but will need practice to slow more on the approach. Eflite retracts didn't need any re-adjustments after 3 flights although the grass was fairly long for our usual golf green runway. Sadly, I'll have to hang it under the ceiling t'ill next summer as snow will be here soon and the grass won't be cut again this year

Tricopter flies ! Still some fine tuning to do but it works, and quite well so far.
