Im working on some new bagged birds and wanted the same type of tip for throwing as on my Blaster 2. I really like the tip blades on them.
The blades are made from layers of 6 oz. carbon PrePreg using aluminum molds and heat cured at 300 deg. F. I split the part of the blade that glues into the wing tip to save wt....Continue Reading

I did a pull test on my new DLG stab mount, the plan was to
fail a few to show how strong they are before I start mailing
them out for the public.
As you can see in the picture I have 40 lbs. hanging from it !
I'm going to call that good enough.
hows that for a strength to Wt. ratio. 40 lbs to .47 grams

finished my Mold for my DLG pod, still working on the layup schedule with 1 full ply 3/4 glass 2 full plys 5oz. Kevlar 1 Ren. of 6 oz carbon for wing and boom area the finis ed wt. is 28 grams and is stronger than some 2-M fuses Ive seen.
the boom plugs over the pod like my unlim. pod.
I will try some other layups, looking for the best strength to Wt. ratio.
Going to use Kevlar for the pod cover so its completely 2.4 friendly.

Had someone ask about wing mounting,Im planning on bolting down the
wing like the blaster 1 , but with very little work you could make the front
of the wing plug in with pins like the Taboo and bolt the back down.

Goals ,what I wanted from this pod
1- Strong , If you break this pod ,the rest of the plane shouldn't be flyable.
2- Boom mounting, If I break the boom I did not want to have to gut the fuse to replace it.
3- Wing saddle large enough to mount both front and back wing bolts into (see # 2 )
4- Nose long enough to balance with lipo batt. pack.
5- Room inside the pod for up to 4 servos, Ram 3 and ballast
6- I'm going to be the one laying up the pods, how hard do I want it to be.

I really like the looks of some of the other pods I've seen , but to have made
it look more stylish I would have had to cut into some of the goals I set for it.
