We've hit a nice milestone, releasing our 500th show at Mike's RC Corner! It's been a fun time here on Youtube. I came up with this idea of doing some RC bowling. Over a month ago I did a review on the HBX Hailstorm which is the 1/18 truggy model. I was very impressed with that but now comes along a 1/16 scale offering from HBX. It comes in brushed and brushless and the brushless model is going for $87 ready to run. Is it too good to be true? Here's my video with a detailed overview, running and speed test (with RADAR)!

I found this Radio for sale online and from the features list, I'm very impressed for what you get for $50!! It has a gyro installed in the receiver for steering assist, 7 channels, flashlight built into the radio, temperature sensor, 15 model memory, etc... Receivers are only $12 to boot too!

I got this Desert truck in for review and I'm very impressed. It's a good beginner to intermediate RC! It's a big hit with my son he loves to drive it. BEST CHEAP Mini RC Desert Buggy! Unbox and Demo! (RC Courtesy of Banggood) (7 min 57 sec)

I got my hands on this buggy and I've been wanting to try this one out for a while. I think the appearance of it looks great, I love the body and wing on this buggy, it looks super cool IMO! This model is 4wd and brushless power inside, it comes with a 2s 25c lipo, but it can handles a 3s lipo!
The buggy has adjustable linkages so you can change the toe and camber of the wheels unlike the ZD Racing B10e. This buggy falls in between bashing and racing. I feel you can take this to the track and have some fun with it as a beginner buggy. It would do OK but upgrades would be necessary to reach a competitive level (shocks, tires, etc). However in it's current state it could handle an off-road track just to have fun.
I'm very pleased with this buggy and runs great out of the box. It has everything you need to have some fun straight up. I would recommend a hobby charger and bigger battery to increase the enjoyment. I have that info listed in my video notes. This video is the unboxing and i'll follow up with a running video shortly. Thanks for looking at my mini review thread here on my blog! Let me first start off by saying I'm a fan of the ZD RACING brand. I bought my first models back in 2011 and scooped all three 1:16 models (truggy, buggy and Monster Truck). I still have them all and raced the buggy with my friends in at a private track. What a blast! Now this comes along, a version 2 of the series. I'm a big fan of all the models including the 1:10 and 1:8. There's a lot of quality in these models and the price fits pretty much anyone's budget!

This model is very cool looking, i like the camo body and newer tires versus the chevron style on the original model from 2011. I do a side by side comparison in the video. Thanks for checking out my RC blog! Let me start by saying, I'm a big fan of the ZD Racing brand. Back in 2011 I ordered 1/16 brushless truggy model off ebay and was sold on the product. I also soon acquired the other 1/16 buggy and monster truck. Then I got the 1/8 racing buggy and truggy. Great quality for the price. I raced the truggy and competed with the Losi's and Associated models and place in the A main.
Now the brand is making a comeback. I got this model from Gearbest.com and the price is very affordable. This is not a racing model though, but you could take this to the track and have fun. It's an all around fun bashing type buggy. I'll have link in the video description on my video unboxing and overview video. I'll soon have the running video done! If you have any comments feel free to ask. I have lots of videos on my channel about the RCs i mentioned above.

I'm doing a video series for my youtube channel (Mike's RC Corner) and this is the first video I made for it, which is the unboxing and overview. Next one will be the running demo and a quick final thoughts conclusion.

Specs on this are pretty good. 2s 2500mah lipo, high speed of 50 with the brushed 540 motor inside. It has a mid motor setup and it works quite well. Some nice aluminum parts on it including the suspension hinge pin holders. I cover a lot of stuff in the unboxing and there's more info in the video notes. I'll post the video below and feel free to leave any comments or questions and I will try to answer them the best I can!

Here's something I bought and I'm doing a review on for my youtube channel, Mike's RC Corner. This is the WLtoys 20402 (Agility) 4wd Monster Truck. It's 1/20 scale so right there it's something a little different. The specs claim this truck does 45km and it is indeed quite fast, it definitely needs the wheelie bar that comes with it. It's super fun to run that's for sure. Here's my video taking it out for spin and testing to see what it can do. I've reviewed a lot of RCs and I'm impressed with this one (and it's hard to beat the mid $50 price tag).

This is the latest edition from the original models that were released a couple years ago and they are great too, they had a 380 size motor and went 50km. The upgrade here is to the 540 sized motor and these RCs can blaze down the street!
Price point is very good too with free shipping, check out the video and I have the links to the RC itself. Where can you find a quality RC like this for $55? Parts support is there too, I have links to that also. It's a great fun RC to add to any RC collection. It has everything you need to run, quality RC radio (form factor of Spektrum DX4S) and 2s lipo!

CAN YOU HANDLE 70KM?!?! WLTOYS A979-B Overview! (RC Courtesy of RCMoment.com) EP#371 (15 min 51 sec)

Here's a great RC that I reviewed on my youtube channel, Mike's RC Corner! It's the WLtoys Crawler King (18429), an awesome 4wd RC Desert Truck. It has plenty of detail and looks great, even has a little driver sitting in the driver's seat.
It comes ready to run, charge the L-ion battery up with the included charger for a run that will last approx. 12-15 mins. It certainly has a great price point and it's free shipping too. All that information is in the video description of the video.
I feel you get a long of bang for your buck with this RC. Is it perfect? Nope! There are some areas you can address yourself such as non oil filled shocks, but what is has on it stock, performed quite well considering. One think I really like about it, the radio has throttle D/R (dual rate) which means you can dial it down to the minimum and the car will go much slower (something a young child can drive and learn on).
Any way here's my video which I unbox and overview what the RC is and take it outside for a test spin!

Thanks for taking a look at my RCG blog posting. I have long been looking to get into drone that has stabilized video with GPS. Of course first thing that usually comes to mind is the DJI Phantom. But searching long and hard, looking at reviews and postings, I settled on this, the UPAIR ONE from G Ten. I must say i'm very happy with my purchase. I used the code "toysho" on Banggood.com and the final price with free shipping to Canada came to $290.
You get everything you need right in the box to get up and flying. It has a nice 7inch screen built into the controller and that uses a 1500mah rechargeable battery. The drone has a 5800mah 3s lipo for approx 17mins of flight. The video is nice I opted for the 2.7k model due to what was in stock on Banggood.com at the time.

Thanks for taking a look. I got this very cool 1/10 Rock Racer, it's the WLTOYS 10428 Model. As far as I'm told it's a rebranded Vaterra Twin Hammers. It's a quality made RC with LEDs in the front and back, a fantastic stock radio (Futaba 4pl style), and it features a High and Low Gear system you can engage on the radio.

I was intrigued by the looks of this truck and bought it to give it a video review on my youtube channel, Mike's RC Corner. I have this new quadcopter and it's a pretty cool, nice quality camera drone. Being made by WLToys, this quad is very similar to the sister company XK and the X251 model. This model has brushed motors where the x251 is a brushless quad. The Q323 is heavier than any other brushed quad that I've seen and it utilizes 3 bladed props to get great flight. It also boasts 15 min flight time with a 2800mah 2S lipo on board!

Needless to say I'm happy to have this quad and the video it take is VERY GOOD... no noticable video jello at all. I made a video to explore what this quad has to offer and take it up for a test flight! I got this quad from Gearbest and click here for more info.

WL Toys Q323! Awesome 720p camera drone! (RC Courtesy of Gearbest) EP#296 (14 min 29 sec)

Hey guys I got this micro quadcopter the other day and I took it out for a flight inside. Its very cool and one of the best micro drones I've ever flown. First off the radio is a decent size. Sometimes quads this small you get a tiny tiny tiny radio but this one is a good size, similar to a gamepad for a video game console. It's fairly easy to fly (i wouldn't necessarily recommend this as a beginner quad though) and very responsive to the controls. I found it best flying in mid rates. High rates it for the really experienced flyers because the yaw is crazy! You can have fun with this too using headless mode and return to home. and of course the camera is cool and takes good video and pictures when you figure the cost of this RTF quad (in dec 2016) around $28 with free shipping. One thing to note it - it DOES NOT come with a micro SD card for the video/pic capture.

JJRC H30C Demo Flight! Cool Nano 720p Camera Quad! (from Gearbest) EP#292 (7 min 14 sec)

I got this new RC, the Feiyue FY04 model, from Gearbest.com (I already own two FY-02's). I was really excited to get this and my 3 yr old son really loves this RC because of the driver. It's pretty cool. There are some minor changes from the FY01-03 models, which are bigger tires, different mounting posts and bodies for the FY04 & 05 (ATV and Monster Truck). Everything else is pretty much the same from the L-ION battery to the transmitter. That means part support is great!
I also found the stock radio binds from one model to another if you own 2 or more of these RCs from Feiyue!
