Le compagnon des vacances ! Je vous présente aujourd'hui le test du MJX BUGS 7. Ce dernier né de la gamme MJX, petit et pliable, ne salira pas la réputation du constructeur. En effet, on connait maintenant la fiabilité des engins de cette marque, qui fait un effort cette fois, sur la qualité de la résolution de sa caméra. Un bon capteur qui permet de ramener de belles photos et quelques petites vidéos souvenir à condition de rester en plan fixes. Oui, les images sont jolies, mais le manque de FPS (max 25) ne permet pas d'avoir des images lisses et fluides en mouvement. Ce sera selon moi son seul vrai défaut car pour le reste, c'est un excellent petit engin ! Que ce soit pour s'initier en toute sécurité, en indoor ou dehors, ou pour ramener quelques souvenirs de vacances, ce petit appareil photo volant tient ses promesses, pour un prix plus qu'attractif ! Presque parfait ! En effet, si on lui ajoutait une petite stabilisation numérique pour les images HD (EIS), il serait Perfect ... Une superbe conception pour ce petit dernier de chez iFlightRC, le ALPHA A85 mélange la facilité d'utilisation et de pilotage d'un Tinywhoop avec la possibilité de ramener des images HD de très bonne qualité d'un Cinéwhoop. Les réglages d'origine sont pas mal mais je pense qu'on peut encore affiner les PIDS pour encore plus de fluidité. Un châssis et une canopée très résistants en plastique ABS moulé permettront aux débutants de s'initier sans risquer de le casser aux premiers chocs. L'électronique est fiable et performant des moteurs au bout des antennes, en bref, pas grand chose à lui reprocher ! Il sera disponible en plusieurs version (Digital, Turtle et Loris) pour des budgets toujours raisonnables. BRAVO IFLIGHT ! Bon Film et merci à tous pour votre soutien .

Time to blow the Dust Off of this Converted RC Chuck Glider ;-)
Well, I'm glad I took this Converted Chuck Glider with me to the Field as I'll fly it in any Wind ;-)
The Wind Forecast was for 3mph (5kph) and the Wind was actually 6-11mph (10-18kph).
This Converted Chuck Glider handles it just fine ;-)
I'll have to take it out sometime when I have 15-20mph (24-32kph) wind to see how this Glider, which has no Gyro, can handle that ;-)

Tuesday early morning was perfect conditions for the maiden flight of my Hobby King SLICK 3D, 1300mm wing span and tipping the digital scale right at 4.1 lbs using the larger GFORCE Elite Series 4-Cell, 4,000mAH, 30C, Lithium Polymer Battery pack. The model without any battery pack tips the digital scale right at 3lbs - 7 ounces.

The SLICK did fly for it's very first flight using the lighter 3-Cell, GEN ACES 2600mAH, 45C, Lithium Polymer battery pack that brought the model to under 4lbs, however, it needed full throttle to take off but, once airborne I was able to throttle back and the model got to step with good airspeed.

Therefore, the model in total flew for 4 flights, two with the 3-Cells and another two flights using the 4-Cells packs.

At the time, I really didn't know why the model at times made an unsolicited nose down movement during level flight and passing the pilots station which of course was much more noticeable. It performed excellent Knife Edge flight without any coupling and Cuban 8's were effortless and a pleasure, especially with the 4-Cell battery packs.

Using the 3-Cells, I noticed that I could fly the model for over 6-minutes as the AMP draw was much less than 30-AMPs and about 250 Watts using that Wooden Master...Continue Reading

Flying at Bando spot in CZ feeeeeew days ago. Really nice place to fly. I flew few times throught that old bando but at the end I crashed due to lost vtx signal and the video didn´t save But I have great memories from there

Assembly has started !
I am at the point where I have to think about the power plant ( motor ) .
Front section is only tapped on for the picture .

Ailerons needs doing !
Motor / ESC / Battery for CG and power .
The fuse seems tolerable for weight , but that wing is a house brick !

I have a motor , and I will have to test it first . I need thrust and a fair bit of it to haul this house brick !
This plane is not going to fly slow . And I thought the Super Kinetic was heavy !

Polyurethane Foam, Polyethylene Foam, Extruded Polystyrene Foam (XPS), Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA), insulation foam and similar types of foams are widely used for mould making, statues making, big 3d signs making.
A big size CNC router or a CNC robot with a big long foam mill bits can do these kinds of foam milling job. But how to choose the foam cutters? And how to set rpm specs?

Usually, two kinds of foam mills widely used, ball end and flat end. Flat end foam router bits widely used for foam cutting, rough cutting, ball end foam router bits widely used for foam cutting, finish carving.
For fast milling, you can choose a big diameter shank and CEL foam bits.

How to set the specifications?
The big foam bits RPM designed is 7000-10000RPM.
For EPS foam milling, we suggest setting the spindle RPM at 8000RPM. It is good for the machine cutters and can get a good surface finish.

For example, cut 80mm thickness polystyrene, we suggest twice cutting, one path cut 40mm thickness, running 8000rpm, feed rate at 150mm/Sec.
If you cut 80mm thickness once, run 8000rpm, feed rate should be within 70mm/Sec. Please try it.

Other information for reference:
I usually mill with these bits at about 7,000 rpm, and 70 inches per minute. It depends on the foam. I usually set the feed to 70 ipm, since that is the fastest I want to run the machine.
