I want to buy some stuff for my BL... but I don't want to go into debt again, not even a dollar. So I have made a plan to do so.

All of the orders I make will be $20 or less, shipped. I get $20 every time I mow the lawn, and I do that about every week, unless I am on vacation (like I am now)

So, my first order will consist of:

-AEO Heavy Duty Main Gear (eBay, separate order)
-Blade Hardware Set mCP X BL
-KDE Direct XF Main Blade Set mCP X BL
-Lynx Heli 42mm Tail Blade mCP X BL
-Lynx Heli 130X Dampers
-Lynx Heli Carbon Fiber Tail Fin

My second order will be a tiny bit over $20... but since I won't use all $20 on the first order, I still won't get in debt:

-Lynx FiberGlass mCP X BL Canopy
-Xtreme Skid Set mCP X BL

The Third order will be

-Green Loctite
-Blue Loctite
-Scorpion Bearing Oil

I haven't made plans for the fourth order yet, but I have a feeling it will be an aluminum swashplate from RakonHeli.

I want a small craft I can fly whenever I want, indoors or out, just for fun, before I go to school and when I get home, when my dad can't take me anywhere to fly, and I don't want to fly (or can't) my mCP X BL because I don't want to crash it (or I already did crash it and it's broken) and I am looking at two models:

Blade mSR X
Nano QX

I want a mSR X because I have flown one and I must say, it is VERY fun. It is very capable for a FP because of the FBL gyro that doesn't have the self limiting of the flybar on the old mSR. I am able to do fast forward flight and turns, funnels, and tail first upright hurricanes (well no, inverted.. )

I want a Nano QX because again I have flown one of them once, and it was pretty fun. I didn't get to fly long because someone just gave me the Tx in the middle of a flight, but it was pretty nice, and fast, and very capable. I didn't try flips because it wasn't mine, but it was very stable and easy to fly. I would like to be able to fly a Quad that can do stunts, but is still incredibly stable, and do it in my living room. This is it.

Now onto $$

I am looking at Amain right now... I added a mSR X to my cart on Amain Hobbies, and holy monkeyballs!!! Only $49.99!! I added the Nano QX and it was the normal $69.99, but I am not surprised really.

Of course if I really want to I can get a Nano CPX or mCP X V2, but probably not.

Amain has rumors of selling the mCP X BL for only $159 when you are logged into an account and order... hmm...

I am not asking for your opinions... of course they are accepted, but I really am just thinking. I am kind of leaning towards the mSR X just because it is cheaper. Then again the Nano will probably fly better... ugh. As far as now it will probably be the mSR X.

1. mCP X BL Upgrades and Parts - I will say now that I don't allow myself to spend over $150 on upgrades for my BL. Famous last words
2. Blade 300X - Used or from Amain Hobbies
3. Gaui X5 - Getting expensive here, will be about $1350 with everything I need.

Yep, you knew it was coming. Well I did anyway...
I finally worked out the time to do a review/mystory on this little monster.

I bought my BL from my LHS, HobbyTown USA. I was in a hurry to get it because I needed it for school. I did an Independent Study on Helicopters, with a sub study of RC helicopters, and I wanted a real RC helicopter to use for demonstration. So I rushed to HobbyTown 5 minutes before I had to leave for the public presentation night. I walked into the building with a big black case and a box with a helicopter on the side of it

I sat my stuff on the table and got to work. I had only opened the box once before I got there, so I was excited. I put the battery on the charger, and showed people my presentation. After the battery was done, I put it down on the ground, in a 6x6x12 foot space, people all around, and spooled up. I had normal mode set to about 40% in normal mode, 100% in stunt mode. I spooled up and did the maiden flight! I was amazed at how easy it was to fly in that small of a space. I had no problem doing SLOW forward flight and pirouettes. I kicked it into idle up and a few people walked away with a "oh god" look on their faces

After that battery, I decided it was not a good idea to fly a helicopter with extremely sharp blades spinning at over 5000 RPM in a 6x6 foot area. I stopped flying for the time.

When I got home, it was already dark so I just decided to do some hovering indoors.

I just realized that you can get the Blade 300X from Amain Hobbies for $250 (it says $320 just add it to cart and you will see) and since the AR7200BX alone is $240, you are getting an entire heli for $10!!!!

15 years ago, Alan Szabo Jr. made his first flight with an RC heli with his Ergo 30 on July 4, 1998. Look where he is now
