;Hi all,
Back in Thailand and designing and building again. Most days with no wind so ideal for my minimalist light-weight models.

I hope they are inspirational!

Latest "model". No I
did not build it. It is great fun to fly - real feel of immersion.

Some recent planes , all developed from chuckies, using my favourite 19gm motor and 3S 360mah. All fly well - this basic layout is very predictable.
With a sleek design that looks great in the sky , and a chucky to build.
Viewed without decoration the forms are more obvious.

A do-all! Infinite vertical on demand . Tight flying between the trees. Can take some wind .Has an excellent glide . A vertical climb on the first flight into a thermal, makes soaring simple.A good FPV candidate ,with twin motors.
With the recent models i have tried to stay with the simplicity of elevons and a wing form , extending the tips backwards to get the fins and elevons as far away and behind the aerodynamic centre as possible. This means very little reflex is necessary to counter the pitching force, the plane has enough longitudinal stability ,doesn't waggle, has lots of response and flies flat.
I am very happy with this system.

Three versions : the chuckie that started it, a soarer, and FPV version.
The most elegant flyer I have designed.
With recent models.
The Cleat is my best FPV plane, stable and predictable with a steady climb, totally controllable, cruises dead flat and thermals easily. Has low drag so does regular altitude flights , without thermals, of 35 to 40 mins; using a 3S 2200 power battery; It uses the cheapest motor and ESC on the market ( the EMAX CF2812) and two 9gm servos.. I have had it to 1800m's using thermals..

Full plan available with FPV details,( and list of best equipment for medium range flying). I will send it for $20 post included.

Ta ra ,ta ra ,I give you the ......Tumbler!
Haven't come up with a colour scheme yet.
Fast and acrobatic. Surprising glide ( may enlarge with same electrics to thermal),loves to tumble and twirl in a small space. Endless bunts.

And now...... the Mezzaluna! And it will shave the lawn too.

This one of the best- a beautiful, agile flyer ; floats ,hovers ,creeps along very slowly, then sets off in any attitude instantly, thermals, skims, twirls ,infinite vertical, and stops and turns on the spot losing very little height, long, fast ,low curving sweeps.
After a lot more flying in ideal conditions, here near Chiangmai, I am beginning to think this may be my "perfect" plane.I love it!
I am planning a bigger version ,and may fit solar panels on the large surface - it asks for it.
A twin engine, larger version for FPV to follow.

Two more' red uns'. The 'bat fish' thermals easily.

This is fast and precise and looks great in the air.

Here is a three hour build that is quick and exciting . Too exciting until I added the little turned up tips, and now it still twizzles but flies hands-off as well.

This does float, thermals and flies well low and close.

This was inspired by the search for improvements to tip vortex drag among aircraft manufacturers; it wont solve that, but it flies very well, surprisingly fast, with precision
and dead stick stability.Great fun.

My simplified lightweight elec; glider - a real floater for light winds only , and my smallest bat type wing( for sharpening the reflexes!)

This is the latest version of my yellow blade, higher aspect and wider span. One minute into first flight and off in a thermal.Very satisfying range of flight, good penetration on the glide and a long flat glide, exciting low sweeps and turns using some throttle elevator mix.

With thanks to Braque.
It flies a dream, glides and turns immaculately in thermals, with low, fast sweeps and simple acrobatics.

These are the ones that fly reasonably well.
