I not only fly big birds, I am also a fan of the freestyle side of FPV and in my hangar I have a few of those. They have been built for so long that I can't even remember the specs on each of of these two machines. When I get home I will investigate and then post the results here, all I know is that these are 5" 4S setups.

Yes, here I am planning a new build. Sometimes I ask myself why? why another spy?. I think I am addicted to building skyhero spy. The following setup is what I have in mind. I am not sure if it counts as X-class or Y-class? not sure but here it goes.

*SkyHero Spy 600 frame.
*Master Airscrew 1045 Props
*iFlight Xing 2814 KV880 Motors
*Hobbywing xrotor PRO 40a ESCs
*Homebrewed Power Harness
*DJI Naza M V-2 Flight Controller
*Graupner Tx and Rx
*6S setup

Right now I am awaiting for more parts from ERCmarket and some other places and when it is put together I will update this blog entry.

My current skyhero spy 600 retired from aerial photography and I decided to make it a bigger more powerful tri-copter. I got me some parts recently from the ERCmarket (heck yes they still sell skyhero spare parts and kits in 2021). I then put together a higher lifter. I have about 4-6 acres of grassland so I will be carrying heavy objects and such just for fun. The build is as follows:

*SkyHero Spy 750 frame.
*KDE-CF155-TP (W/ 2X KDE-TPA-ML) propellers
*KDE4014XF-380 Motors
*Hobbywing xrotor PRO 40a ESCs
*Homebrewed Power Harness
*DJI Naza M V-2 Flight Controller
*Graupner Tx and Rx
*6S setup

After flying the little spyder and the spy a handful of times I decided to build me a sky hero little six. At this point I was now starting to get me my own collection of sky-hero drones. I am still not quite happy how the Little Six flies. It feels somewhat weak as a 4S setup. I will make other tests using a 5S battery when time allows. This build is as follows.

*SkyHero Little Six 580 frame.
*T-motor 1055 props
*SkyHero 2806 kv950
*Hobbywing xrotor 40a ESCs
*Homebrewed Power Harness
*DJI Naza M V-2 Flight Controller
*Graupner Tx and Rx
*4S setup

I never thought I would build a Y6 Tri-Copter. The moment I built this one it became my favorite thing to build. In fact, I am building another size 600 with X-class components.

After building the Little Spyder, I built a big monster heavy lifter spy 700 witht he following components. (Picture below with the little spyder hovering on top of it).

*SkyHero Spy 700 frame
*T-motor 1755 props
*T-motor MN4120 KV400
*Hobbywing xrotor pro 40a ESCs.
*Homebrewed Power Harness
*DJI Naza M V-2 Flight Controller
*Graupner Tx and Rx
*6S setup
*Custom Fusuno Canopy

I took it to a show and someone there offered me $1100 for it and I sold it right away.

After that, I used the cash to build another spy 600. This sky-hero 600 traveled to Aruba "The Happy Island" and a few weeks ago it went from size 600 to 750 with motor upgrade and such. Right now though I will disclose the components that were on this drone shown in the photos below.

*SkyHero Spy 600 (Black Edition) frame
*Falcon T-style 1350 props
*T-motor MN3510 KV630
*Hobbywing xrotor 40a ESCs.
*Homebrewed Power Harness
*DJI Naza M V-2 Flight Controller
*Graupner Tx and Rx
*4S setup
*Custom Fusuno Canopy

The skyhero little spyder was the first drone I built without any help back somewhere around 2014-2015. My first prototype had T-motor 2216s. The motors were powerful but the build seemed a bit stressed and heavy. I then realized there were bigger motors and decided to install T-motor MT2820 KV830 motors with the 11x5 triblade Graupner E-props. This build was carrying a gimbal and GoPro camera. Later I got a DJI Mavic Pro and retired the little spyder from doing aerial photography for business. I went ahead and removed the T-motor 2820s and left the stock Skyhero motors and I still fly it for fun.

The current build:
*SkyHero Little Spyder 450 frame with the bigger lipo upgraded under plate.
*T-motor 1055 props
*SkyHero 2806 kv950 Motors
*T-motor 35a ESCs
*Homebrewed Power Harness
*DJI Naza M V-2 Flight Controller
*Graupner Tx and Rx
*Custom Fusuno Canopy

Hi there fella drone pilots, my real name is Allen Ampueda. I figured Iíd leave my little piece of grain written in here for others to see. RCgroups is the site where I learned how to build drones and I will be making posts of each one of my skyhero builds. When skyhero first came out, thatís what got me hooked up to drones. I still fly skyhero and I still get the same joy to fly. The picture below belongs to sky-hero and/or their respective owners, I am just a skyhero fan bragging about the company and showing what I have built with the kits they offer.
