There are a number of build logs on the FX-61 Phantom already, but I wanted to document a few of the unique aspects of my build to help people with theirs.

I had already installed the motor mount a few months back before I decided to document the build, so I don't have any photos of that process.

First things first. Install the servo, ezuhf receiver and video transmitter trays in to the wings.

Getting a rough idea on the placement of the trays. The original servo cutouts are at an angle relative to the elevon, but parallel to the forward direction of the plane. The theory is it is more aerodynamic. I prefer to have it square to the elevon for better torque on the control surface, but this is a personal preference..

The servo tray is roughly 9" in and the RC tray is 15". The tops of the trays are 4.5" up from the elevon hinge line.
