OK folks, I got the bug for a big gasser, and bought a 91" Laser by EF. It is going to be powered by a RCGF 70cc twin. Has MKS 777s all around, and a JR 922 rx system. The build is a little slow, as I want it to all be right. All servos in, Motor mounted, and ready for electronics and landing gear. Tail wheel is on and working. In this up to my ears, so it better fly good. More later

Everything is done!! Batteries installed, tank in, and cowling on and cut. Balance is right on, and this one actually came in just a little under Mfg. specs Just waiting for a decent day to maiden, as winter has given us a taste of things to come

Beautiful day at the field, and the stinkin motor won't run. Took it home and tried it in the front yard, and like a Dummy, I did not tie it down. Short story, engine fired and ran, and I now have 8,, count them 8 slashes under my Right upper Arm. Lesson learned, I hope so, cause I can't use that arm for more than eating for at least 2 weeks Be safe all, and fly one for me...LOL

Maidened the Laser yesterday, and NO surprises, and NO Dings. Happy with the plane, just need to get more stick time on it now. I guess the 20 hours on the Sim paid off.!!!!

I have been watching some of the F3P videos, and became intrigued with contra systems. I ordered a Dualsky system, and I am awaiting shipping on it from across the pond. Anyone have any helpful thoughts on this, that may make it a lil easier to get going. Pics to follow when it gets here.

After a lot of hard work and brain malfunctions, the MK III is finally done and running. Attached are some pictures of th completed project. It has been a lot of uphill battle for me, but it was worth every bit. Hope You enjoy My efforts. The end table for the monitor is a gate leg shelf, and the monitor and keyboard stores in drawers in the toolbox when not in use. The box above the machine are the switches for the servo board and spindle motor. Folds up nice and compact to sit against the wall.

Precision Aerobatics makes some very nice kits, and I wanted to try one out, so Being the frugal (cheap) Guy that I am, I went for the little Electric Shock. Very similar to the one I have been flying on the sim. The kit is very complete, and the instructions are fairly straight forward, but not for the rank beginner. As usual, as with every plane that I build, this one is a few grams overweight. (I should complain), The skillet calling the kettle black Just got the new batteries in today, and hope to maiden it in the next few days between thunderstorms. It was a fun build, and I hope it flies like the ones in the videos.

OK, so I was so impressed by a Twisted Hobbys Click a couple f weeks ago that I pulled the trigger and ordered one. Alil more than I usually spend on an EPP plane, but when it arrived, I was amazed at the quality of the kit, and it's components. Every thing but the glue and the equipment. The online manual is very good, just wish some of the pics were a lil bigger, but we are getting it done. So far, everything has fit like a glove, and it is going to be a straight as an arrow plane. Kudos to those that engineered this thing, and to the programmer of the CNC equipment that cut it. You can't get the wings on wrong, and the horizontal stab will not go on upside down(not that I have ever done that). Sandy is impressed with the kit, and if Mine flies like the ones I saw last weekend, there will be a couple more in the stable Gotta run for now, it is time to start making pushrods. The Click is complete, and looking good. Slightly over weight, but so am I. All ready for the maiden some time in the next few days in the local gym.

The Click flew hands off with just 2 "Clicks of trim, even knife edge. I am totally impressed, and We ordered 2 more of them. Sandy is just now starting on hers, and enjoying the build. This is Her first complex build with all the CF bracing, so it will go a little slow. She has the Purple one and I have another green one. We are now in the "Click"!!!!!!!!

Could someone South and West of Clovis, please close the gate, and stop this stinkin wind. Man oh man this is getting old. Oh well, guess I will have to put up with it, not much else I can do. Just build heavier airplanes. MORE POWER! OOOOHH OOOOHHH.

It has been over a year since I came back to RC. I have made the transition from mode 1 to mode 2, and I am starting to get pretty comfortable with it. Aerobatics come easier, and the mishaps (insert crashes) are fewer and further between Flying indoors is not nearly as intimidasting as it was in the beginning. Thanks to Gary Jones (The one and only), Dennis Robbins, and Chris Bowker for all you guidance and help. Now wheere did I put that box of foam, the knife and the glue HMMMMM gotta go build more planes, down to 54 in the stable now. They are having babies.

I shall now be known as Mr. Foambuilder, not Rapid Roy. I am by no way rapid as I used to be, so this name fits me much better.

Man this Foamie thing is bad for the pocket book. Seems like there is always something new to get. But WOW what fun!! Great bunch of guys and gals here too. Looking forward to more indoor flying soon.
