Okay so recently my hobbico Nexstar wings folded mid-flight while I was doing some heavy loops and I was able to land it in one piece, but when I did the damage assessment the main spar was bent and the 2 last ribs that join both wing halves together was broken. I began to cut out the broken ribs and sanded the area flush. Its time to make a replacement rib but i have no idea on what type of wood to use. I know its some kind of ply wood, but i was hoping that someone with more knowledge can help me decide on the best and probably strongest wood to use for the replacement rib. Also if anyone knows where i can purchase a replacement spar for the hobbico nexstar that would be very helpful.
