Look into the hatch and you’ll see the elevator servo. The two teeth on the hatch hold it into place. The swiveling brass strip serves as a lock of sorts. -

The original Ford Flivver had a right side hatch that accessed the internal control horns for the elevator. This wouldn’t work on the RC model. The hatch had to move to the bottom.

The wires are in place. The plans called for .025 inch diameter piano wire. Light and stiff. And functional. -

These connectors did a great job. Aluminum, bent to fit. Removed the blue plastic sheaths. Drilled the holes just a little bigger to accommodate the screw diameter. -

Linesman’s pliers did a great job of crimping. I added a drop of red Locktite thread lock into each crimp. I painted it gloss black. Could have been blue. -
