Review & Test Flight - Turnigy Nano-Tech Plus 3S 1000mAh 70C Lipo Pack w/XT60

Here is a link to the Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28bstxEv2Tc

I decided to buy a couple of these batteries to test out in our "Glue & Fly Series" F-22 Mini V3 Alpha Build.
I have a wide variety of LIPOs I've been using in this Parkjet, everything from a 800mah-1300mah 3S LIPO.
The 3S 800mah are very light and the 3S 1300mah are fairly heavy.
This LIPO should be in the Goldilocks zone ;-) Just Right ;-)

Here is a link to this LIPO:

I think this motor will be another good choice for our Mini Parkjets.
I'm currently using the RacerStar 2207S 2500kv Motor so let's see how this one stacks up.

Glue & Fly Series - F-22 Mini V3(A) Development Status #3

Here is a link to the Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXLpTCbUid8

The Parkjet has a New Nacelle configuration to mitigate any possible airflow restriction due to the narrow design of the Original Nacelle.
I will be testing the Nacelle MOD tomorrow, weather permitting, and I think this should reduce drag and make this Parkjet even Faster ;-)
I have also installed my 3rd Landing Skid MOD in hopes this one turns out to be more durable ;-(
I envy you Pilot's that have a nice grassy area in which to land.
I had a request for a Full Flight Video of this Parkjet so that is included.
I don't want to forget to mention my Co-Pilot in Crime, e3Scott.
His Flight Testing of this Parkjet and the feedback he has provided not only on the Parkjet but also on the Build Plans has been invaluable.
With his help this Parkjet will be ready for release in half the time of me doing it alone.
Links to his Youtube Channel and Parkjet Blog are listed below and I urge you to go check them out ;-)

Tutorial - XT60 Connectors Too Darn Tight? Let's Fix It!

Here is a link to the Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrJ_FQ5nzeQ

Some of these XT60 Connectors fit so darn tight they feel like they're glued together when you try to pull them apart!
I don't know why some manufacturers produce these to fit that tight, but enough!
I have a simple and effective way to fix this issue so you don't damage your wires while trying to pull these very tight fitting XT60 Connectors apart.

Here are links to some XT60 Connectors:

RC Tip #21 - Make your Plastic Clevises & Control Rods more Secure

Here is a link to the Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3XNUT1qc4c

I have used these Control Horns & Plastic Clevises on my Micro Parkjets and they have worked great!
I decided to use them on my Mini Parkjet as well.
Since the Mini Parkjet is much larger and heavier than my Micro Parkjet I decided to make them a bit more secure ;-)

Tips for a Subscriber - Elevator Replacement on the WLToys F949 Cessna 182

Here is a link to the Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvXQJ6SY8TI

I have a Subscriber that asked if I could do a Tutorial on replacing the Elevator & Vertical Stabilizer Assembly on the WLToys F949 Cessna 182.
Here it is, as a Show & Tell Tutorial and Tips on how I would perform this procedure.
I'm not going to actually remove the Assembly on my plane as I have no replacement parts but this should help you with the process as this is how I would do it.

Tutorial - Repairing a Mistake with your Foam Board

Here is a link to the Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHF7jAZllyM

Well, it happens to all of us, sooner or later your going to make a mistake in your plans or you just cut in the wrong place.
I made a mistake in my plans with my servo placement and was faced with either losing my wing plate and starting over or repairing my wing plate.
I chose the latter, let's repair this wing plate and not lose all the work we have already put into it.

Glue & Fly Series - F-22 Mini V3(A) Development Status #2

Here is a link to the Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkkojtFLyr0

This Parkjet is assembled and I have two completed flight sessions with this plane.
The Alpha Build is so close to production quality it caught me by surprise ;-)
This Parkjet flies great and the power system is a great match.
It is fast, stable, forgiving, acrobatic, and an absolute blast to fly.
e3Scott has provided so much fantastic feedback on his flight testing with this plane ;-)
He has also provided some great insights and suggestions on needed changes to the plans and the plane.
The information he has given me on how to adjust the Plans to make it much easier and more intuitive for others to build is invaluable.
It has been an honor working with him on this project and I think after the Beta Build we may just have a production ready Parkjet on our hands ;-)
Stay tuned and check out e3Scott's Youtube Channel and Parkjet Blog listed below.

Well, I'm pretty comfortable performing Rolls, Loops, and Split-S Maneuvers, so now it's time to learn a new Trick ;-)
In this Flying Session I'm practicing Reverse Split-S Maneuvers and will hopefully become proficient at it in the next few flights ;-)

Review & Test Flight - Zippy 3S 500mah 35C LIPO

Here is a link to the Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zv65wAIcLAQ

I decided to see if these LIPOs would work well in my "Glue & Fly Series" F-22 Micro V2.
They are approx. 8.5 grams heavier than the LIPOs I normally use in this Parkjet which are 3S 450mah 65C LIPOs.
I thought they may be a bit heavy but the Micro Parkjet handled it just fine ;-)
I beleive this Micro Parkjet would not have any problem carrying a 3S LIPO up to 55 grams and still have plenty Thrust-to-Weight Ratio.
These LIPOs seems to perform fairly well and I have no complaints so far.

Here is a link to this LIPO:

Field Test Flight #2 - Turnigy Nanotech 3S 950mah 25C LIPO

Here is a link to the Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_e8BCE2o-0

These LIPOs tested well on the bench and balanced to a full charge with fairly low battery cell resistance.
Now, let's see how they perform in actual test flights using our "Glue & Fly Series" F-22 Mini V2.
Will they perform as well as the other LIPOs I use in this ParkJet?

This LIPO seemed to perform as well as the other LIPOs I use in this plane.
The LIPO had 11.25v remaining after the fairly aggressive 4 minute flight.
I should be able to get 6-7 minute flights on these packs given how I push the power system on this plane ;-)
That is based on leaving the cells with a nominal voltage of 3.5v

Here is a link to this LIPO:
