Hi all,
Well she is done, she may not look like much, but she is my first foam build.
I purchased the Airfield 1400mm P40 air frame at our club swap meet.
I don't know if it was a kit never started or an ARF stripped, but it had only 3 servos (Ailerons and tail wheel) and two broken retracts.
To my surprise, Nitroplanes no longer carries parts for these. I found that MotionRC carries the FMS version (they said Airfield copied FMS) and that the parts should work.
So I ordered the prop, spinner, motor, ESC, UBEC (never heard off these before), Elevator and Rudder servos AND new retracts. And of corse an EFLR3100113 SAFE receiver. I used a wooden dowel with duct tape for a swing spar and packing tape to hold them securely to the fuselage as there was a large gap with just a single screw holding the wings.
I haven't flown her yet, but when I do I will report back.
