So my addiction continues...

I bought myself a carbon Schwing 88...It is absolutely beautiful. Sadly SoaringUSA did not have a yellow carbon, so I ended up with the white, red and blue...beauty.

So I have opted for mks 6100's for the flaps, ailerons and elevator, on the rudder a futaba S3102. For receiver the Futaba S70008 and battery 1600mah Nimh's.

I looked around, did some research and have decided to use Aviogate's LDS on the ailerons and flaps. A friend told me that the LDS may not give enough throw for the flaps, I will see once they arrive.

So I received this Cambria Models P-51 from my wife for my birthday...Converted for PSS. I glassed it, painted it and flew it...what FUN!!!!

Weight is about 50oz...It flew best when winds were +20kts...pretty easy to get here in Hong Kong now that we are in the monsoon season..

Ok, So I have been R/Cing for almost 40 years and have recently, due to my relocation and lack of flying sites, started soaring and I must say I love it.

I started with a small ail, elev, rudder glider called the sparrow which I bought here in Hong Kong. She flys great, but of course I wanted more, so I moved up to a big fiberglass ASW. The ASW I bought from Hobby King. It flies well in strong winds is very cool, however I have noticed quite a few cracks around the vertical stab are which required a bit of fiberglassing. THEN I went flying with a friend who was in town from SoCal..He brought a Schwing with himself...I saw that and was HOOKED. I had to have a mouldie...So I went home that day and started looking...and looking...I came across a few different models but the I saw the MiniVec...It was ordered and arrived soon after...

The assembly has begun....
