We join this kit build already in progress.

Lance picks up an almost framed up Chinn Yak. This is the original Billy Hell/Jeremy Chinn kit, not the EF ARF. Luckily, the build wasn't very far along and I was able to jump in there and make a few mods to get this thing into the super cool realm.

The wing was framed up, but not sheeted. I seized this opportunity to build a battery box in the bottom of the LE so the pack can be concealed in the airframe. After checking out Rumple's super cool Sabre 47, the 5S 3200 pack was pretty much validated as the pack for a 40 sized slab. However, Rumple had an ARF and had to sling his pack to the fuse like something out of "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre". Homey don't play dat. On the other hand, Rumple had the boss mill, the 1506/3D/6.7F Neu. Lance has a Kontronik Fun 500 27/5.2. Ought to be pretty comparable, but I'd be running the 1506/3D if'n it was mine.

Which brings up to the why. I'm doing this one for Lance as a test bed for an identical, unbuilt version I have. Whatever is screwed up on his, I'll change for mine. Like the motor

OK, on to the pics!...Continue Reading
