Saturday was good with a 15mph wind out of the East. I missed most of the good stuff, because I didn't arrive until 12:30. I was at Vista View, again, winch practicing for the Tangerine Soaring Championships this weekend.

This Saturday had good winds out of the North (10-20mph). Missed most of the good flying. I had to test out my new Shadow. Started early in the morning at Vista View and didn't reach the hill until almost noon. After a few winch test flights on the back side of the hill (South corner). I finally headed over to the North slope and joined the boys for some slopeing. Unfortunately, the wind had dropped to about 10mph and was shifting to the NE. So basically it was lots of low, slow and stick close to the slope for me.

Last Saturday was great. We had our first true cold snap. Was in the 50's in the AM, but it evetually warmed to the mid 60's by noon. I brought up a "gallon of joe" from the the donut shop to warm the troops. The wind was out of the North at 15mph. Made for some great sloping. The only downside was some nasty rough air that came along with the lift. That sent several of the guys planes in for some nasty landings/crashes.

I've just gotten back from vacation. Missed the last two Saturdays (bummer). Thanks to Ben I have some pictures from this last weekend. I heard the flying was excellent.
