I have had a lot of fun with the X-8 (see recent blog entries), flying in parks and at the club field and it was a pleasure to see how well it takes to ridge soaring. It's a bit of a brute with a flying weight of 3.6kg o/a of a lot of strengthening, but seems light as feather once the wind gets under its sails. The blended wing lifting body was computer designed for maximum efficiency and sure works well.
