Like so many things in the hobby I swore I would never do, buying used planes has been something I avoid unless they almost being given away like the UMX SBach 3D I picked up for $10. Well, a friend and RC pilot needed to unload a great deal of his planes fast because a job opportunity came up that he had to take far south of here. I ended up with 13 or 14 working planes and jets. I'm still cleaning, repairing, and testing them all. Only one is truly questionable. In the pile was this cute little balsa E-Flite Cessna 150 Aerobat 250. When I bought her all I knew was it's a Cessna, I was going to be the 3rd or 4th owner, a previous owner had a gas engine in her, and it would look great on a wall somewhere. I gently took it apart and inspected everything. No problems. The RX bound first try. The servos were all good. Except for a loose front wheel, the landing gear being on backwards, and a thick layer of dust, there was nothing wrong with it. And when the dust was all wiped off it looked great. So I decided to take what was supposed to be a decoration out for a spin. It took off in a few feet, only needed a little trim, and it was a lot faster than I expected. I still might hang it in the living room at some point, but for now I have it on the grab and go rack of other planes it's size. I love 250 and 280 size planes, but they are too big for a box and small enough to be pretty fragile.

Time to bring some older planes out and make sure they still work. Here is some video I took of the HyperTaxi, one of Horizon Hobbies first models with AS3X.
