I've been flying the PicoX frame from FlexRC for a month now and I'm absolutely LOVIN it !

I was generally not pro tiny drones, but lately I had this itch to try and build my own Tiny Brushless Racer.
PicoX was my first choice for a frame, its light, clean simple and not expensive.

GEP-QX5 T-Motor Setup

The moment I've opened the box I fell in love, this is my second GEPRC frame,
and, boy, do they know how to invest in their kits !
Compared to other companies they include far more freebies making them
more attractive than other brands in that regard.

MOTOR Thread Direction

How to choose the correct motor thread direction and not get confused by the Chinese system
The thing is some manufactures use CW or CCW for the thread and some for the declared motor spin direction.
So it's important to noticed that.

Few facts that will help you choose the right one
First lets agree on the standard thread which is CW, the reverse thread direction is CCW (which is less common)
If the declared motor direction is: CCW => Thread will be CW
If the declared motor direction is: CW => Thread will be CCW

For EMAX Standard thread direction you should choose: CCW (Because they are addressing the motor spin direction)
For DYS Standard thread direction you should choose: CW (Because they are addressing the thread direction)

* Usually the standard nut(CW) will be in color(Silver or RED) the Reversed nut(CCW) will be in color (BLACK)
**Myself, I prefer purchasing 4 motors with standard thread (The nylock nut is strong enough to keep the prop in place)

Hi All,

I've gathered a list of parts, items tools and accessories you should have in your field kit.
I mainly fly FPV Racers, but I guess it will fit most of the RC hobbyist.

CASE
Repair Tool Zip Case Organizer

Work ToolsTape, velcro ext.
Spare parts & others
* I recommend adding some Velcro Tape (Both Sides) and a lighter for the heatshrink

Good Luck and happy flying

FPV Racer Setup

Frame TC-R220 Frame Kit 4.0mm
Flight Controller - F3 Flight Controller Acro
PDB - Matek Mini PDB With BEC 5V And 12V
ESC'S - DYS XM20A mini
MOTORS - DYS SE2205 2300KV

** It's better to check the lift force before letting the balloon go,
if it goes up too fast you should slow it down a bit by adding weight. I used Electrical tape.

It was my first Multi-Rotor project.
It had no purpose and the frame itself is very tight (No room for stuff to mount).

This is how it looked in the past:

This is the new version:
